Belda, widely known as Egypt’s first and largest digital marketplace for home and commercial services, has entered a strategic partnership with Al Diwan Real Estate Development, the company behind the Villar residential and touristic projects. The collaboration promises a fresh phase for high-end community living, marrying technology and everyday comfort in one seamless experience.
Belda isn’t just another app offering handymen and cleaners. It’s built a network of more than fifty verified service providers—from air conditioner repairs and pest control to pet care and legal advice. I reckon that’s quite a feat in a market where reliability can sometimes be, well, hit or miss. What makes Belda stand out is its focus on trust and professionalism, two things that can turn a simple cleaning service into a full-blown customer relationship.
Through this tie-up, Al Diwan’s residents will be able to access Belda’s suite of digital tools directly within their communities. The app schedules and tracks requests based on time and location, with easy digital payments and even instalment options through local partners. And here’s the clever bit: subscribers to the Belda Premier package can book continuous home and office care throughout the year—everything from maintenance to deep cleaning—without having to lift a finger.
Mostafa Salem, Belda’s CEO, was quoted saying the partnership is not just about convenience. It’s about creating an integrated home experience where every service, big or small, is handled within a single system. That idea of “all under one roof” has been floating around in proptech circles for a while, but this move actually makes it tangible.
Meanwhile, Hossam Hussein from Al Diwan said his company’s plan is to craft smarter residential communities. As he explained, blending digital service management with traditional real estate adds another layer to comfort—one that listens, tracks, and responds to residents’ needs almost instantly. Spot on if you ask me; few things annoy homeowners more than waiting days for a fix that should’ve taken hours.
The Belda–Diwan partnership also aligns with the ongoing story of JTS Holding, Belda’s parent company, which recently celebrated nine years of pushing digital transformation in Egypt’s service sector. Under JTS’s wing sit companies like Octopii, Jinni, and The Academy—all working together to digitise operations and open real job opportunities. As Mostafa Ghannam, the CEO of JTS Group, said, the group’s ultimate goal has always been to simplify daily life through technology. And believe it or not, that’s exactly what’s unfolding here: turning what used to be a bit of a faff into a smooth, on-demand experience.
It’s not hard to see why this matters for the wider Egyptian tech ecosystem, something we at Arageek love keeping an eye on. The country’s startups are starting to blend traditional industries with digital innovation, and that mix—if handled well—could reshape urban living across the region.
Sure, no digital tool will magically fix every pipe or broken handle in Cairo overnight. But this move by Belda and Al Diwan does hint at a future where convenience and reliability aren’t pipe dreams. And that, I’m definatly sure, is something to be chuffed about.
