Seqoon has just lifted the curtain on “Sai Speaks: AI Goes Arabic,” a one-of-its-kind gathering that promises to spotlight how Arabic-first artificial intelligence can reshape the region’s business landscape. The exclusive evening is set for 24 November 2025 at Townhall by Kamelizer in New Cairo, drawing around three hundred of MENA’s top tech thinkers, startup founders, and policymakers.

From what’s been shared publicly, this isn’t just another tech showcase. The event marks the official launch of *Sai*, Seqoon’s enterprise-grade voice and chat AI platform—essentially an operating system that helps organisations interact with their customers in multiple languages, Arabic front and centre. As I see it, that’s a pretty bold move; Arabic is rich and nuanced, and teaching machines to grasp its tones and quirks is, well… no small feat.

Omar ElDessouky, Seqoon’s co-founder and CEO, explained that AI can only reach its potential when it truly represents the people it serves. He described Sai as a bridge bringing Arabic, in all its depth and variety, into the global AI conversation. I reckon that’s spot on—building inclusive tech is more than a buzzword these days, it’s a necessity.

The lineup for the night reads like a who’s who of innovation across banking, data, and tech. Dr Aysha Alsafty from Valeo, Rabbit’s co-founder Walid Shabana, and Tamer Azer from Shorooq Partners are among those sharing the stage. The panels will touch on three main themes: how AI is reshaping corporate strategy, transforming the customer journey beyond chatbots, and reimagining the future of work through automation and digital agents. Quite the agenda, if you ask me.

What really caught my attention, though, are the immersive demos Seqoon has planned—“AI vs Human” voice challenges and neural-network-style visuals mixed with Arabic design. It sounds like a bit of a faff to pull off logistically, but if it works, it’ll make AI tangible in a way that standard presentations never do.

Mohamed ElKhatieb, the company’s COO, summed it up nicely, saying Sai doesn’t just listen intelligently, it understands the people, the culture, and the conversations that define this region. And believe it or not, I can still remember when AI in Arabic felt like a distant dream. Even if the hype gets a little loud sometimes, the direction feels right. Tech won’t truly speak for everyone until it, quite literally, speaks in our own language. That’s a future worth waiting for, definately.
