CASHPLUS and PayPal's new service enables instant withdrawals in Moroccan Dirhams via a mobile app.

This update eliminates the need for branch visits, paperwork, and lengthy fund clearance times.

Freelancers and online sellers benefit from seamless access to their PayPal earnings.

Nabil Amar highlights this partnership as key to democratising financial access and autonomy.

With Morocco's digital payments market set to double, this service aligns with financial inclusion goals.

CASHPLUS has teamed up with PayPal to roll out a new service in Morocco that lets users pull their balances directly into Moroccan Dirhams via the CASHPLUS mobile app. No more faff with branch visits, paperwork, or waiting days for funds to clear—this update makes digital withdrawals instant and seamless.

For freelancers, online sellers, and creators juggling projects with international clients, this sounds spot on. They can now dip into their PayPal earnings with just a tap, which could make cashflow headaches a thing of the past. I remember chatting with a group of young founders at one of the Arageek community events in Casablanca; access to earnings was always high on their list of frustrations. So yes, on a personal note, this feels like a step in the right direction.

Nabil Amar, President of CASHPLUS Group, described the tie-up as a milestone in democratising financial access: users can finally enjoy speed, control, and autonomy over their money. PayPal, for its part, has pitched this as part of its digital-first vision, where wallets cater to both local and global transactions.

The timing is interesting. Morocco’s digital payments market is tipped to more than double in size—rising from $14.29 billion in 2025 to around $35 billion by 2030. That’s no small potatoes. More importantly, the government’s National Financial Inclusion Strategy is aiming for 75% adult participation in the formal system by the end of the decade. If services like this can smooth the path for more people to engage, then it will definately help bridge that gap.

That said, I reckon it’ll take more than one shiny feature to shift entrenched habits. Trust, user education, and accessibility outside major cities will be make-or-break. But on the flip side, this partnership signals a clear acknowledgement: Morocco’s digital workforce is growing fast, and fintechs are racing to keep up. And believe it or not, being able to see your hard-earned dirhams in your account without delay is more empowering than any marketing campaign could ever be.
