Entlaq Launches Arqam: Egypt’s First Comprehensive Data Analytics Platform

Entlaq introduces Arqam, aimed at transforming Egypt's data analytics and market intelligence landscape.
The platform provides tools for data visualisation and customised reports, supporting informed decision-making.
Arqam targets a wide audience, from students to corporates, with a tiered pricing model.
The roll-out includes a minimum viable product in September 2025, with a full launch in December.
Success will depend on data quality, partnerships, and active community engagement efforts.
Entlaq has unveiled Arqam, billed as Egypt’s first fully integrated platform for data analytics and market intelligence. The ambition here is not small. By providing advanced tools for visualising and analysing data, as well as customised reporting, the platform is pitched as a way to help government bodies, businesses, and researchers make sharper, evidence-based decisions.
The company says the long-term vision is to make high-quality data accessible in a way that’s both simple and scalable. Their hope, if you take them at their word, is that Arqam will become a proper cornerstone for Egypt’s economic transformation—supporting job creation, investment attraction, and even better governance. I reckon that if it works as planned, it could be a bit of a game-changer for startups that often struggle to find reliable market intel without breaking the bank.
What’s striking is how wide a net the platform wants to cast. It isn’t just about catering to big institutions; students, independent researchers, startups, SMEs and corporates are all within its sights. The features range from economic trend analysis to business intelligence dashboards, all built on a design that adapts as the market shifts. That said, convincing everyday users to switch traditional methods for a new system can sometimes be a bit of a faff—so community engagement will be a key test.
The pricing is structured around a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) subscription model, with a free version for individuals and students, more advanced packages for SMEs, enterprise-level plans for large firms, and discounted bundles for universities and non-profits. This tiered design might sound familiar, but it’s spot on for encouraging early adoption across different segments.
The roll-out has been mapped out quite carefully: a minimum viable product (MVP) is expected in September 2025, followed by a soft pilot in October, and then a full-feature launch in December. Timing matters here, especially as Egypt’s data analytics market is already scaling fast, with forecasts showing a compound annual growth rate of nearly six percent through 2031. Much of this growth is driven by telecoms and the broader digital transformation push across industries.
One detail that stood out to me is Entlaq’s mention of Egypt’s SME financing gap—around USD 46 billion annually. If Arqam can genuinely deliver precise market insights in such a context, it could create real value not only for small firms scrambling for capital but also for investors wary of flying blind.
Entlaq has been clear that the platform’s success will hinge on three fronts: ensuring top-notch data quality, building partnerships across public and private sectors, and nurturing an active user community through workshops and forums. From where I’m sitting at Arageek, where energising and empowering startups is very much at the heart of what we talk about, this approach feels sensible, even if it’s easier said than done.
On the flip side, execution often separates the bold ideas from the real hits. But if Arqam lives up to even half its promise, I wouldn’t be surprized to see it emerge as the go-to reference point for data analytics not just in Egypt, but across the wider region.
