It's always refreshing to see initiatives in the Middle East gearing up to support innovative startups, and the recent launch of the "Madinah-Tech" programme is spot on. Announced by the Municipality of Al Madinah Al Munawwarah, this ambitious venture is a collaboration with Actual VC, 24six9, and AHOY, designed specifically to boost urban technology ventures.

Now, I've been around the startup block once or twice — and believe it or not, blending a business accelerator with a real-life urban sandbox testbed isn't something you see everyday, especially not in this neck of the woods. I reckon this mix of local ambition and global experience is churning out the perfect recipe for success. Although, not every venture will be immediately successful—it's always a bit of a faff finding the right urban tech solutions—but initiatives like these are what genuinely embolden fresh ideas and innovation.
