iSchool has acquired SEEDS to bolster its position in Saudi Arabia's education market.

iSchool gains SEEDS' network and infrastructure, boosting its competitive stance in the edtech landscape.

This partnership expands bilingual curricula and advanced programmes in Saudi public and private schools.

iSchool's move aligns with Saudi Arabia's growing demand for tech skills among its youthful population.

Saudi edtech startup iSchool has officially acquired SEEDS, the educational branch of tech firm Algoriza, in a move set to ramp up its presence across Saudi Arabia's booming market.

The deal is expected to pave the way for some innovative programmes that teach artificial intelligence and programming, specially tailored for employees' children as part of progressive employee perks. I'm particularly chuffed about this sort of thinking, as it cleverly merges HR benefits with quality education—exactly the kind of fresh ideas we at Arageek love to see bubbling up across the MENA ecosystem.

The acquisition gives iSchool immediate access—almost a shortcut—to the operational infrastructure and existing networks SEEDS has painstakingly established. Essentially, they've saved themselves quite a bit of faff from building partnerships from utp scratch in a market that's already highly competitive. This means the Saudi edtech landscape could get pretty interesting very quickly, with iSchool in prime position to champion future-ready skills.

Mohamed Gawish, co-founder and CEO at iSchool, explained clearly why this strategic purchase makes so much sense: \"This deal gives us local momentum and robust infrastructure, allowing us to kick-start a completely new educational category focusing on employees’ children, positively impacting the national talent pool.\"

On the flip side, SEEDS isn't exactly a small fry either. They've rapidly become one of the fastest-growing local names in the MENA education-tech arena, particularly gaining popularity due to their sharp focus on AI content and teacher support. So it's rather spot on that SEEDS joins forces with iSchool—together, they'll be expanding into national school partnerships, rolling out bilingual curricula, and launching advanced programmes in both public and private schools across the Kingdom.

Algoriza's own co-founder and CEO, Mohamed Al Damhi, highlighted this collaboration as the natural next step: “Joining forces with iSchool aligns perfectly with our vision to boost AI education starting at a young age."

I reckon it's a pretty timely move, too. Saudi Arabia's youthful population is burgeoning, and demand for skills to power the future is soaring there. This could easily place iSchool centre-stage, shaping the next generation of homegrown Saudi tech innovators and problem solvers.

From where I sit, these developments signal an exciting shift, blending education, cutting-edge technology and strategic HR initiatives into one very promising package indeed. Well... I mean, watch this space—sounds like it could set a brand new trend!
