Saudi startup Lucidya has just bagged an eye-watering 112.5 million Saudi riyals (that's about $30 million) in its latest funding round, Series B. Impact46 led the investment, alongside strategic names like Wa'ed Ventures, Takamul Ventures, SparkLabs, and returning investors Rua Growth Fund and ARG.
Lucidya, if you're not familiar, uses AI to enhance customer experiences across various sectors, from hospitality and finance to healthcare and even government entities. With this new cash injection, the team plans to ramp up its AI agent capabilities, offering tailored and automated digital services for customer support, sales, and marketing. They’re aiming not just for improved efficiency but also making sure everything lines up perfectly with industry compliance, especially Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL).
And believe it or not—I reckon Lucidya has hit the nail on the hed this time. I mean, they're playing for keeps in markets currently valued at more than $250 billion. I'd be lying if I said I'm not curious to see how their digital solutions transform customer interactions across the MENA region. Here at Arageek, we're especially interested in startups shaking things up—and Lucidya definitely ticks that box nicely.
On the flip side, competition in the AI-driven customer experience game is fierce. There's always a chance that scaling up quickly could be a bit of a faff. But given Lucidya's solid track record, the investors seem chuffed to bits about its prospects.
All eyes now are on Lucidya to see if they can harness the full potential of their latest boost. And frankly, the signs are looking promising indeed.
