Dubai-based MovitOn raised $2 million to revamp the “aging global shipping system”.

It claims costs up to 75% lower than DHL and FedEx.

The Web3 platform links travellers and shippers in a “zero-trust” ecosystem.

MovitBox™ terminals, AI security and smart contracts enable secure, same-day deliveries.

A testnet launches in April 2026, with MENA and global expansion planned.

MovitOn, a Dubai-based Web3 logistics platform, has completed a $2 million community pre-sale round, signalling early backing for its ambition to rethink how goods move across borders. The round closed in February 2026 and, according to the company, drew strong interest from supporters who believe there’s still plenty of room to fix what is, frankly, an aging global shipping system.

I’ve followed enough logistics startups over the years to know this space is not for the faint-hearted. It’s complex, heavily regulated, and often a bit of a faff for everyday users. So when a company claims it can cut costs by as much as 75% compared to giants like DHL, UPS and FedEx, ears naturally prick up.

MovitOn’s pitch is built around decentralisation. The platform uses blockchain-based smart contracts and artificial intelligence to create what it describes as a “zero-trust” ecosystem. In simple terms, it connects travellers with people who need to ship items, allowing peer-to-peer deliveries that can, in many cases, happen the same day, even on weekends or public holidays, when traditional carriers typically slow down.

At the centre of the system is its proprietary MovitBox™ technology, smart IoT-enabled terminals designed to remove the need for face-to-face handovers. Packages are scanned using AI-driven security systems, and transfers are secured through blockchain smart contracts to make them tamper-resistant. On top of this, an AI compliance engine is built to navigate changing cross-border regulations, adjusting as laws evolve in different jurisdictions.

Erik Beken Tleubeck, MovitOn’s founder, said the $2 million pre-sale validates the company’s long-held belief that logistics is overdue for meaningful innovation. He pointed to a model where “every traveller becomes a trusted courier”, adding that the level of community backing confirms demand for a decentralised, AI-powered alternative to more traditional shipping services.

Vadim Andryan, co-founder and chief architect, argued that legacy providers repeatedly fall short on key pain points, from high costs and lengthy delivery times to restrictive policies on what can be shipped. He said MovitOn is building a complete Web3 ecosystem that also acts as a bridge for Web2 users into decentralised services, while introducing a real-world asset (RWA) transformation model.

The company’s MVON token underpins the ecosystem. It is used for payments across the platform, escrow transactions, and governance participation. The tokenomics model includes quarterly token burns, staking incentives and loyalty programmes, all intended to encourage longer-term engagement rather than short-term speculation, which, if we’re honest, has been a sticking point for many Web3 projects.

Following the pre-sale, MovitOn is preparing for a testnet launch in April 2026, with a beta version of its mobile app expected to follow. The roadmap includes expansion across the UAE and wider MENA region, as well as Europe, Asia and CIS countries, before scaling further as the network matures.

From Arageek’s perspective, stories like this always spark a mix of curiosity and cautious optimism. The MENA region, in particular, sits at a strategic crossroads of global trade. If a homegrown platform can genuinely reduce costs and increase flexibility, that could be spot on for SMEs and everyday users alike. On the flip side, logistics is definatley not an easy nut to crack, especially when regulations, insurance and trust are involved.

Still, there’s something compelling about the idea of turning idle suitcase space into economic opportunity. Whether MovitOn can deliver at scale, well… that’s the real test. But with $2 million now in the bag and a testnet around the corner, it’s clear the team has moved beyond just talk and into execution. And in this market, that already counts for quite a lot.
