Riyadh Air partners with Blacklane to offer luxury chauffeur services for travellers.

Passengers in Business Class or elite members can enjoy free rides within 50 km of Riyadh Airport.

The collaboration aims to provide a seamless, luxurious travel experience from flight to destination.

Blacklane's global reach ensures reliable and sophisticated ground transport in over 500 cities.

This partnership highlights a commitment to exceptional customer service and environmental responsibility.

If you've ever endured the traditional airport hustle after a long-haul flight, you'll know it's always a bit of a faff sorting transport at your destination. Well, Riyadh Air and global chauffeur provider Blacklane reckon they might have cracked it.

At the 2025 Paris Airshow this year, the Saudi airline announced a strategic partnership with Blacklane, specialists in luxury chauffeur services. Tony Douglas, CEO of Riyadh Air, highlighted that this deal is all about delivering a seamless, world-class travel experience—something the airline has been championing since its launch.

What does this mean practically for travellers? Simply put, if you're heading to or from Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport in Business Elite, Business Class, or you happen to be an eligible loyalty progremme member, you're in for a treat. Complimentary chauffeur trips in top-class motors will be available within a 50-kilometre radius of the airport. Honestly, I'm not usually a fan of over-the-top VIP transport gimmicks, but I reckon this one hits the spot nicely—softening that landing upon arrival with a little slice of luxury.

And it doesn’t stop at Riyadh. Eligible passengers booking Riyadh Air flights can now arrange Blacklane rides direct from the airline’s digital booking platform globally. Whether it's an airport transfer, city exploration trips, chauffeur-by-the-hour services, or even city-to-city jaunts while travelling, it's all in the mix—basically, wherever your passport takes you, Blacklane can tag along. Not too shabby, really.

"Hospitality and attention to detail"—those were Douglas' exact words about why this partnership makes sense. He clearly feels Riyadh Air’s recently unveiled Business Elite and Business Class seats deserve ground transport that keeps the luxe experience going mile after mile. Which, fair enough, does seem spot on to me.

Meanwhile, Dr. Jens Wohltorf, CEO and Co-Founder of Blacklane, stressed the significance of this collaboration not only as a convenience, but as "a promise" of reliability and sophistication. Given that Blacklane’s footprint spans more than 500 cities across 50 countries, it looks like they've got the infrastructure to deliver on that.

Blacklane has been making waves internationally, employing around 400 staff and building up tens of thousands of chauffeurs around the globe. They've also invested significantly in sustainable tech and electrification—something that will resonate with travellers increasingly concerned about their environmental impact.

As readers of Arageek will know, I'm a big advocate for partnerships that genuinely improve the customer experience for MENA startups and businesses alike. Deals like this set a benchmark for new standards of service across the region. And believe it or not, little details like these can make all the differnece when vying for the loyalty of elite travellers.
