Saudi Arabia is pushing deeper into AI-led enterprise services with HUMAIN and EY.
They aim to build the Kingdom’s first "AI-native" business process outsourcing service.
The model blends intelligent agents, automation, analytics and human expertise across whole operations.
EY brings sector know-how and commercial support, while HUMAIN provides the AI infrastructure.
Plans also cover AI factories, autonomous mobility and GPU deployment, hinting at wider strategy.
Saudi Arabia is pushing deeper into AI-led enterprise services, with PIF-backed HUMAIN teaming up with EY to build what is described as the Kingdom’s first AI-native business process outsourcing service. In simple terms, this is not about dropping a chatbot into one department and calling it innovation. The idea is bigger than that: to redesign how business operations are delivered and managed from end to end, using HUMAIN’s full-stack AI ecosystem.
The planned service will mix intelligent agents, automation, advanced analytics and human expertise across core enterprise functions. That matters, because many firms still use AI in a piecemeal way, and it can be a bit of a faff when systems do not talk to each other properly. Here, the model is meant to work across whole processes rather than isolated tasks, which could help companies cut complexity and get more from the tech they already paid for.
EY is expected to support both the development and commercialisation of the service, bringing in its functional expertise, sector knowledge and go-to-market capabilities. HUMAIN, for its part, will provide the AI infrastructure and agentic technologies underneath it all. The move also builds on an existing relationship between the two around HUMAIN ONE, a platform designed to deploy AI-enabled workflows, agents and automation across enterprise operations.
There is already some indication of where HUMAIN ONE is being used. The platform supports cases such as payroll, knowledge management and workplace productivity, with HUMAIN positioning it not as a standalone tool, but more as an operating layer for business functions. I reckon that detail is quite important. In the MENA startup world, readers at Arageek will know this well, plenty of companies have shiny AI tools, but fewer have something that actually slots into daily operations without turning into a headache.
Tareq Amin, HUMAIN’s chief executive, said the partnership is aimed at bringing intelligent agents, automation and human expertise into one operating model. On the flip side, EY said its contribution will draw on capabilities spanning finance, audit, tax and advisory as the platform grows. That gives the project a broader enterprise feel, rather than looking like just another narrow software launch.
And believe it or not, the partnership does not stop at outsourcing services. It also includes plans tied to AI factories, autonomous mobility technologies and large-scale GPU deployment, which suggests HUMAIN is trying to build a wider infrastructure play around AI in Saudi Arabia. That’s where things get interesting, well… I mean, BPO might sound dry on paper, but when it sits alongside compute capacity and mobility tech, it starts to look like part of a much wider industrial strategy.
From where many in the region are standing, this feels like one more sign that Saudi Arabia wants to be spot on when it comes to AI infrastructure, not just adoption. I’m not a fan of hype for hype’s sake, but this one definately looks more substantial than a flashy pilot. If the model works as intended, it could give large organisations a new way to handle operations with fewer silos, better productivity and stronger use of existing systems. For MENA startups watching the space, that is worth keeping an eye on.
