Arageek highlighted startups addressing real problems with practical solutions ahead of CES 2026.

Patty impressed with a user-friendly AI platform that simplifies workflow creation without code.

Lillycover offers tailored skincare solutions, valuing individual needs and local roots in Daegu.

Wellmatix accelerates drug discovery through AI, bridging scientific rigor and innovative deep-tech applications.

The companies chosen reflect sincere innovation, prioritizing impact over flashy marketing claims.

At AraGeek, we recognize three companies we believe are addressing real problems through thoughtful work in artificial intelligence, personalized beauty, and scientific research.

During the Global Media Meet-up in Seoul, held ahead of CES 2026, we joined international media peers in observing and evaluating a wide range of emerging companies. Our role was not to rank businesses by funding rounds or future promises, but to apply an editorial lens shaped by understanding, hands-on exposure, and context.

At AraGeek, we aim to stay close to reality rather than slogans. When we cover startups or offer recognition, we approach the process with a very simple question in mind:

Is this a real solution to a real problem?

What Is the AraGeek Recognition?

The AraGeek recognition is:

  • An editorial, non-paid acknowledgment

  • Based on the judgment of our editorial team, not on nominations

  • Grounded in products and vision, not pitch decks alone

  • Focused on practical value, not media noise

We are not claiming these companies are “the best in the world.”
What we are saying is simpler—and more honest: these are teams we observed doing serious work, thinking clearly, and trying to build something genuinely useful.

From that perspective, we selected three companies this year that we believe represent meaningful directions in modern technology.

Patty

AraGeek Recognition for Enabling Creativity Through AI

What stood out to us about Patty was its intellectual simplicity.

The platform does not ask users to understand technical complexity, nor does it lock them into a single tool. The idea is straightforward: describe what you want, and the platform attempts to build a complete working stack around it.

Through its GRILL concept, users can create AI-driven workflows that combine images, text, audio, and data—without writing code. During our experience, it became clear that Patty is less interested in automation for its own sake, and more focused on helping users think in terms of solutions rather than tools.

From our perspective, this is a healthy direction. Not everyone wants to become a developer, but many people have ideas they want to execute. Patty quietly tries to bridge that gap—without exaggeration.

Lillycover

AraGeek Recognition for Beauty Built on Understanding, Not Assumptions

Lillycover resonated with us on a human level before a technical one.

Its core idea is simple: every skin type is different, so why treat them as identical? The company chose to start with diagnosis, not products.

What we find important is Lillycover’s reliance on data and scientific analysis to understand individual skin conditions, then develop personalized solutions accordingly. In our view, this approach respects users far more than mass-production models that dominate the industry.

Equally notable is the company’s decision to remain based in Daegu rather than relocating to Seoul. That choice reflects a strong sense of identity and long-term thinking. Despite this, Lillycover has attracted significant investment and expanded globally. That balance between local roots and global ambition is what made it stand out to us.

Wellmatix

AraGeek Recognition for Deep Scientific Innovation

Wellmatix operates in a field where exaggeration simply doesn’t survive: drug discovery and materials science.

Here, results matter more than narratives.

What we observed at Wellmatix was a clear, disciplined use of artificial intelligence to accelerate scientific research—whether in discovering new drugs or developing more sustainable materials. The team consists of researchers and specialists, and the work is grounded in scientific models and patents, not abstract promises.

This kind of depth is rare, and it deserves attention.

How Do We Choose?

AraGeek’s selections are not based on a single metric, but on a set of straightforward questions:

  • Is the problem the company is addressing clearly defined?

  • Is the solution realistic and applicable?

  • Is there alignment between what is said and what is built?

  • Do we see potential impact beyond marketing narratives?

When the answers feel convincing, we write about it.
When we see a model worth highlighting, we offer editorial recognition.

A Final Word from AraGeek

We want to be clear: these are not formal awards or certifications. They are responsible editorial opinions, shared transparently with our readers.

We do not manufacture hype, and we do not promise guaranteed futures. What we do is observe serious attempts and shed light on them early.

Patty, Lillycover, and Wellmatix are not the end of the list—they are part of an ongoing conversation about where technology is heading, and who is trying, quietly and sincerely, to build it.
