The funding boosts their total to $33 million, focusing on AI and compliance expansion.
TERN's platform claims to cut recruitment time from a year to less than ten weeks.

TERN aims for transparent, fair hiring, balancing technology with human support for international healthcare careers.
TERN Group has clinched a hefty $24 million in Series A funding, cementing its ambitions to give healthcare recruitment and training a real shake-up. With Londonās Notion Capital and the UAEās EQ2 Ventures leading the way, the round also drew support from a pretty varied crew: RTP Global, LocalGlobe, Leo Capital, Presight Capital, and even Tom Stafford, who co-founded DST Global. This latest cash injection bumps TERNās total up to $33 million, just one year after their seed roundāno small feat!
Now, the focus is on ramping up their AI platform and compliance infrastructure while expanding in the GCC, Europe, and the UK. If youāve ever tried to navigate healthcare hiring, youāll know itās a bit of a faffālong waits, stacks of paperwork, and a maze of regulations. Thatās where TERN claims to stand out: its Clinical AI Workforce platform reportedly slashes the typical hiring process from one year down to less than ten weeks. Fast isnāt always everything, but for hospitals desperate for staff, itās spot on.
TERNās heart seems set on the Gulf region, especially the UAE, which is already splashing billions on healthcareāwith $50 billion predicted by 2029. That alone tells you thereās an mighty appetite for skilled nurses and carers, many from countries like India, who often face slow, patchy recruitment routes. Co-founder Avinav Nigam has spoken about the way TERN aims to āmake global healthcare careers faster, fairer, and fully transparent.ā I reckon that transparency promise is crucialātoo many good people fall by the wayside when hiring is shrouded in mystery.
Beyond just automating CV checks and screening, the platform offers hands-on helpātraining, relocation guidance, even support with cultural integration. Sometimes, a bit of a human touch goes further than any clever algorithm, you know? That said, thereās a real challenge in balancing fancy tech with the need for warmth and personal support. As we see in the region's startup scene at Arageek, marrying innovation with genuine human impact is the sweet spot.
TERN isnāt going it alone, working closely with hospitals and regulators to build what it hopes will be a reliable and fair talent pipeline. With demand for world-class skills showing no sign of slowing, the timing is certainly ripe. Of course, the proof will be in the puddingāwill this AI-driven model actually bridge the gap between countries, cultures, and compliance rules? Only time will tell, but the energy behind this funding round means the healthcare workforce scene in the MENA region might look very different, very soon. And believe it or not, in my own time championing startups, Iāve seen just how game-changing a well-timed funding boost can be. Sometimes, it really is make-or-breakāor make-or-brake, if you catch my drift!
