Darwinz AI, a Saudi-Egyptian startup making waves in AI-driven productivity tools, has just raised $325,000 in its latest seed funding round. Led by Flat6Labs KSA and Glint Ventures, the investment aims to boost growth across the region, setting the stage for global expansion.
Set up in Egypt back in 2021 by Emad Elazhary and Mohy Aboualam, Darwinz AI, known as TheDar.AI, quickly gained traction with its innovative AI copilot platform named dima. This clever tool, launched last September, targets PR, marketing professionals, and brand managers, simplifying their daily tasks significantly—by more than 80%, by all accounts.
Business seems to be booming, too. TheDar.AI now operates in six countries and boasts an impressive client retention rate of over 90%. And believe it or not, usage of their platform has tripled just since the start of 2025.
The firm is keen to scale further, and it's already well-positioned as a Google Cloud Build Partner—a nice feather in its cap. Leveraging this partnership and their growing experience, they have their eye set firmly on transitioning from a regional powerhouse to a global player.
Co-founder Mohy Aboualam summed it up nicely when speaking about this investment milestone. "This round marks a new chapter," he said. "We’re proud to call TheDar.AI a Saudi company with Egyptian roots, and we are excited to scale globally through the thriving ecosystem here. Stay tuned — the best is yet to come."
As part of Arageek's efforts to champion and empower startups across the MENA region, I must say it's refreshing to see how quickly homegrown innovations are gaining global attention. I reckon initiatives like Darwinz AI could genuinely shape the way PR and marketing professionals work across our region and beyond. Well done to the team—I imagine they're chuffed to bits with this latest funding round.
Of course, securing funds is just the begining; turning that into lasting impact and growth is where the real challenge lies. But given their impressive track record so far, I'd certainly place my bets on Darwinz AI going far.
