DineNORDER has entered Egypt, adding a major market to its regional growth push.
Its platform combines ordering, POS, reservations, marketing, insights and inventory in one place.
Egypt’s restaurant sector is growing fast, but many still need practical digital management tools.
The company plans to work with local businesses, partners and talent as it builds.
Success will depend on localising well in an “exciting market” where competition is strong.
Qatar-based restaurant tech startup DineNORDER has moved into Egypt, adding a new market to what looks like a wider regional expansion push. Founded in 2023, the company builds digital tools for restaurants, aiming to bring everyday operations into one integrated platform rather than leaving owners to juggle a dozen separate systems. In a sector where that can become a bit of a faff, the pitch is fairly spot on.
Its product suite covers online ordering, point-of-sale systems, reservations, marketing tools, customer insights and inventory management. Put simply, it is designed to help restaurants handle orders, payments and customer interactions in one place, while also giving them better control over stock and day-to-day workflows. That matters in a market like Egypt, where food businesses are growing fast but many still sit somewhere between traditional operations and full digital management.
DineNORDER said the Egypt launch is part of its broader regional growth strategy. As it starts building its footprint there, the company plans to work with local restaurant businesses, technology partners and talent. That said, expansion into Egypt is rarely a walk in the park. It is a huge and lively market, but also one where competition is strong and execution really counts.
Anja Miscevic, product manager at DineNORDER, described Egypt as “an exciting market” and said the company is looking forward to bringing its smart digital solutions to restaurants there. The company is incubated at Qatar Science & Technology Park, which has backed a growing number of tech ventures coming out of Qatar’s startup scene.
I have seen before, around the MENA startup world, how restaurant operators often want simple systems more than flashy ones. At Arageek, readers know this story well: founders talk big about digitisation, but on the ground, what wins is usually the tool that saves time on a busy Friday night, you know? On the flip side, I’m not a fan of startups promising to “transform” everything overnight. Egypt offers scale, yes, but also demands patience.
Still, DineNORDER’s move feels like a sensible one. Egypt’s restaurant market is large, busy and increasingly open to digital tools that can sharpen operations and improve the customer experience. If the company can localise well and build the right partnerships, this could be more than just another regional announcement. It might definately become one of those quiet expansions that end up meaning quite a lot.
