Both companies aim for practical benefits and future-ready improvements for motorists.

Successful implementation could mark a significant shift in UAE road travel experiences.

Something’s definitely stirring in the world of UAE mobility, and it’s not just another high-octane promo. Emarat, which has been serving fuel and services to motorists since 1980, is joining forces with the AW Rostamani Group—well known for their sparkling steering in the automotive space. Both heavyweights have signed a new agreement aiming to spice up how people move around and, more to the point, how customers experience day-to-day life on UAE roads.

To be honest, when large-scale companies band together, it can sometimes feel like a bit of a faff—just more boardroom talk and little real change on the ground. But in this case, the potential’s actually rather impressive: Emarat’s sprawling network of petrol stations joins up with AWR’s inside knowledge of cars and customer journeys. The official word is that motorists and customers can expect “integrated solutions”—which includes better loyalty offers, easier fleet-fuelling, and the sort of seamless perks that should, in theory, take the stress out of filling up and keeping businesses on the move. That’s something Arageek readers have told me matters a lot. I’ve seen firsthand how even a small improvement in the customer journey—say, less waiting, more meaningful rewards—can make a company stand out in a crowded market.

Ali Khalifa Al Shamsi, who leads Emarat, put it spot on, saying their mission is “to define a new standard for fuel station experiences in the UAE.” Not exactly mincing his words there. On the flip side, Tom Fux of AWR Automotive said the deal’s about “creating a more holistic and convenient journey for every motorist,” highlighting that it’s not only about today’s drivers, but future ones as well. You could say it’s a real meeting of minds, or at least of business ambitions.

For those just getting familiar, Emarat have their roots in fuelling the nation, with a network across the Emirates and a hand in everything from natural gas to automotive retail. AW Rostamani’s no newcomer either—they’re one of those multi-sector companies with over 3,000 staff and business tentacles stretching from real estate to agritech. Not one to rest on its laurels, AWR claims to focus on making life better for all generations, rather than just chasing this month’s numbers.

Of course, partnerships like these don’t always go off without a hitch. I reckon it’ll take more than just a fancy press release to convince everyday drivers that their routines are being transformed. But if both sides stick to their guns and actually roll out some of these promised services, we could be looking at a fresh chapter for UAE mobility—less hassle, more convenience all round.

That said, for anyone following the MENA startup scene or looking to give their own venture a leg up, there’s a wider lesson here: collaboration can be a serious gamechanger. Sometimes all you need is the right partner and—well… a bit of get up and go. If you’re keen to see what future mobility looks like up close, this partnership could be worth keeping an eye on. Just don’t expect an overnight revolution.
