EO Bahrain hosted a practical workshop led by Yasser Bousha on applying AI daily.
Participants learned to automate marketing, build apps, and streamline processes with AI tools.
The session included a 30-day roadmap to help businesses implement AI strategies immediately.
EO Bahrain plans more initiatives focused on leadership, innovation, and digital transformation.
The goal is to equip members for growth in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
EO Bahrain recently gathered its members for a rather intense four-hour dive into artificial intelligence, led by tech specialist Yasser Bousha. The workshop, aptly named “From Zero to Applying AI in Four Hours,” set out to make AI feel a little less like a distant buzzword and more like something entrepreneurs can actually plug into their day‑to‑day operations.
From what was shared, the session was very hands-on. Participants explored ways to automate marketing tasks, build simple applications without any coding, and streamline internal processes using ready-made AI tools. There was even a 30‑day roadmap laid out to help businesses start implementing what they learned straight away. I’ve seen founders in our Arageek circles get stuck at the “where do I even begin?” stage, so having a step‑by‑step plan sounds spot on.
The turnout seemed enthusiastic, which doesn’t surprise me. With AI evolving at breakneck speed, most entrepreneurs I speak to worry they’ll be left behind if they don’t keep up. And believe it or not, even those who aren’t exactly tech-savvy walked away with actionable ideas—Bousha’s approach focused on practicality rather than complicated theory. I reckon that’s the only way AI becomes less of a faff and more of a growth tool.
EO Bahrain’s president, Fareed Bader, noted that the organisation sees AI as essential for any business aiming to stay competitive. He highlighted how the workshop fits into EO’s broader mission to help members make sense of emerging technologies. In his comments, he praised the session for giving Bahraini entrepreneurs something they could apply immediately, without needing to be engineers or data scientists.
He also hinted at more initiatives in the pipeline, including programmes on leadership, innovation and digital transformation, along with networking events to strengthen the local entrepreneurial community. For a chapter with 37 members collectively generating over $120 million in turnover and employing nearly 4,000 people, continued upskilling seems like a natural next step. The global EO network, after all, spans 220 chapters across 75 countries, so Bahrain’s entrepreneurs are in good company.
Personally, seeing this kind of momentum always reminds me of a founder I once met at an Arageek meetup who used to say, “If you wait for the perfect moment to adopt new tech, you’ll wait forever.” Maybe a bit dramatic… but he was chuffed to bits after finally automating his customer support. On the flip side, not every shiny tool is worth the hype, so keeping a balanced view is crucial—one workshop won’t magically transform a business, though it can definately set things in motion.
As EO Bahrain lines up its next wave of sessions and community events, the focus seems clear: equip members to grow confidently in a world where digital transformation is no longer optional. And for entrepreneurs in a fast-moving region like the Gulf, that feels like the right move at the right time.
