G42 in Abu Dhabi gains global recognition, named among TIME's 100 Most Influential Companies.

As the first UAE-based firm, its commitment to responsible AI expansion is spotlighted.

Their "Intelligence Grid" aims to make AI as accessible and secure as utilities.

G42's diverse portfolio spans healthcare, energy, space, and more, driving global success.

Recognition brings expectations, emphasizing ethical AI advancements in line with their inclusive mission.

Well, the UAE has bagged another milestone, hasn't it? I have to say, I'm rather chuffed to bits seeing a homegrown company getting some truly global recognition. TIME has just announced G42, the Abu Dhabi-based AI firm, among its prestigious 100 Most Influential Companies for 2025. Believe it or not, this is the first ever UAE-headquartered company to make the cut.

This nod from TIME sheds a bright spotlight on G42's expanding impact worldwide, especially its commitment to advancing artificial intelligence responsibly and on a really impressive scale. Lately, we've all heard the buzz around Stargate UAE and the 5GW UAE-US AI Campus—even here at Arageek we've found ourselves drawn into the excitement. It's clear G42 is serious about implementing what they call the "Intelligence Grid." Fancy jargon aside, it's essentially their vision to make AI secure, scalable, and universally accessible—like electricity or water, but for intelligence. Pretty intriguing concept, right?

In an official statement about making TIME's list, G42's Group Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, Faheem Ahamed, said: "We are thrilled to be featured by TIME. This recognition affirms our mission to bring AI to everyone, not just a privileged few." He went on, describing the honour as affirming "the role we’re playing in shaping a more inclusive and connected AI future". Fair play to them—it's a noble ambition.

One look at their impressive portfolio gives you a sense of how wide-ranging their work has become. They've got a finger in several pies—from Space42 and Core42, to Khazna, M42, Presight, CPX, and Inception—covering sectors like healthcare, energy, finance, mobility, and even space. I reckon this kind of holistic engagement in the full AI-value chain might well be the secret sauce behind their global success.

That said, it's important to remember: big recognition comes with big expectations. AI advancements need to stay ethical and inclusive, avoiding the usual pitfalls that come with rapid technological progress—the kind of challenges we've covered plenty of times on Arageek. Still, optimism seems warrented here, given G42's track record and stated mission.
