IDEMIA Public Security, a global leader in biometric and security solutions, has taken a significant step in its collaboration with Tahakom Technology & Comprehensive Security Company, a Saudi-based tech firm specializing in road safety and security. A newly signed agreement aims to localize manufacturing, advance artificial intelligence (AI) research, and elevate road safety across the Kingdom.
Announced on March 11, 2025, the deal is a milestone in Saudi Arabia’s pursuit of Vision 2030, a national initiative to transform the country into a global investment and technology hub while improving public safety.
Three Core Pillars of the Partnership
- Local Manufacturing and Supply Chain Growth
As part of the expansion, IDEMIA will establish "IDEMIA Road Safety Ltd – Saudi Arabia", a dedicated facility focused on assembling traffic safety products within the Kingdom. By sourcing components from local suppliers and working with Saudi partners, this initiative aims to strengthen domestic supply chains, boost industrial efficiency, and create economic opportunities.
- AI-Powered Research & Development
The collaboration will leverage IDEMIA’s expertise in biometric and security technologies and Tahakom’s knowledge of AI-driven traffic management solutions. Both firms will conduct regular workshops and R&D sessions throughout the year, exploring innovative approaches to reducing accidents, improving traffic monitoring, and enhancing road security systems.
- Training and Knowledge Transfer
To empower local professionals, the agreement includes specialized training programs for Saudi engineers and technology specialists. Global experts will conduct in-depth training sessions on IDEMIA’s road safety products and advanced security solutions, ensuring that the local workforce is equipped with the latest industry knowledge.
