Vertiv Teams Up with Ezditek to Boost AI-Ready Data Centres in Saudi Arabia

Vertiv, the US-based critical digital infrastructure heavyweight, has just inked a Technical Cooperation Agreement with Saudi Arabia’s Ezditek to roll out a series of AI-ready data centre solutions across the Kingdom. The deal, signed during GITEX Global 2025, is a clear nod toward Saudi Vision 2030’s ambitions to position the nation as a major technology and innovation hub.

Now, partnerships like this don’t just happen on a whim. Vertiv brings decades of muscle in high-performance computing infrastructure, while Ezditek has boots on the ground in the Saudi digital scene. Together, they’re expected to design, test and implement solutions that’ll boost the country’s AI and cloud capabilities — all while keeping an eye on sustainability and scalability. And between you and me, this could be spot on timing given the surging demand for AI workloads region-wide.

Ibrahim Almulhim, Ezditek’s CEO, called the agreement a “pivotal milestone”, saying it moves his firm closer to building world-class, interconnected infrastructure linking major Saudi cities with global tech hubs. Vertiv’s regional director, Tassos Peppas, echoed that sentiment, highlighting how marrying global expertise with local execution will help meet the country’s hunger for next‑gen data centres.

What’s intriguing here is how closely this aligns with the Kingdom’s aim to diversify its economy. From where I’m sitting, you can see how public and private players alike are pulling in the same direction—no small feat in such a fast-moving sector. Ezditek, for its part, is already knee‑deep in major builds, including a flagship 24‑megawatt data centre at Princess Nourah University in Riyadh. The company says it’s planning additional sites across Jeddah, Dammam and other Riyadh neighbourhoods, totalling around 170 MW in capacity. Vertiv, meanwhile, operates in over 130 countries and continues expanding its regional footprint.
