Madeed Secures $400K to Revolutionise Preventive Health in Saudi Arabia

Madeed wrapped up a $400,000 pre-seed round, led by Vision Ventures and local investors.
Funds will enhance product development, regional partnerships, and membership rollout, starting in Saudi Arabia.
Founded by Dr Adam Al-Bataina, it emphasises early risk detection using advanced lab testing.
It offers comprehensive analyses, personalised health plans, and custom supplement blends for users.
The approach could redefine preventive care, making it standard rather than a luxury.
Madeed, a young Saudi platform betting big on preventive health, has just wrapped up a 400,000‑dollar pre-seed round led by Vision Ventures, with several well-known local investors also joining in, including Mashhour AlDhubyan, Mazen AlZarrah and Abdullah Elyas. It’s not every day you see that mix of names in such an early round, so clearly the idea has struck a chord.
The team says the fresh capital will go towards product development, expanding clinical and lab partnerships across the region, and rolling out its first batch of members — with Saudi Arabia as the starting point. I’ve seen plenty of healthtech startups claim they’re “redefining prevention,” but Madeed seems quite set on building something genuinely end-to-end rather than, you know, another flashy dashboard that nobody checks.
The platform was founded by Dr Adam Al-Bataina, who previously co-founded Span Health in the US before it was acquired by Eight Sleep — a detail that often gets seasoned founders in the region rather chuffed to bits. His latest venture is working on a system designed to catch risks early by using advanced lab testing that covers hundreds of conditions long before symptoms show up. Spot on if you ask me, because early detection is usually where things fall apart in our region’s healthcare journey.
Madeed goes beyond basic reports and provides comprehensive blood analyses, advanced biomarkers, detailed health insights and doctor-reviewed notes that break down complex data in areas like metabolic health, hormonal balance, heart risks and inflammation. On the flip side, it’s not just about diagnostics; the service includes personalised lifestyle and nutrition plans, plus supplement guidance tailored to each member’s results. And believe it or not, they even create a daily supplement blend uniquely formulated for each user — which definitely takes the faff out of guessing what to buy.
At Arageek we often meet founders trying to tackle health issues reactively, so seeing a platform push for long-term, proactive wellbeing feels refreshing… even if I’m not a fan of overly medical jargon that sometimes creeps into these products. Still, I reckon this approach might resonate with people who’ve been burned by confusing, one-size-fits-all health advice. Madeed’s model — if executed well… I mean, execution is everything — could help make preventive care less of a luksury and more of a standard.
With this early funding locked in, the real test begins as they try to prove that personalised prevention can scale in a region still warming up to the idea.
