Orange Jordan has taken another firm step in its bid to turbocharge the Kingdom’s digital transformation, forging a new partnership with StarLink—one of the big players in the regional IT solutions game and part of the Infinigate group. This alliance, sealed in the presence of Orange Jordan CEO, Eng. Philippe Mansour, and StarLink CEO, Mr. Nidal Othman, promises to expand the reach of advanced ICT solutions across the Jordanian business scene, with a keen focus on cybersecurity, cloud computing, and data centres.

From what’s been shared, Mansour made it clear this collaboration isn’t just for show. By joining forces with StarLink, Orange Jordan is looking to give its tech toolkit a serious boost—spot on for any enterprise hungry for smooth digital transformation. He stressed the benefits: better technical capacity and an integrated approach that should help local businesses become not only more competitive, but also up to speed with the best in digital practice. I reckon, given the current economic climate and the ever-changing needs of businesses in the region, that kind of support is needed more than ever.

On the flip side, StarLink’s CEO spoke about their resolve in pushing technology adoption across Jordan, focusing on joint solutions that can actually make a difference rather than just ticking boxes. As someone who’s seen a fair share of half-baked partnerships come and go around the MENA region, it’s refreshing to hear a bit of straight talk for once.

Now, I’ll admit, dealing with digital transformation can sometimes feel like a bit of a faff, especially for smaller outfits who don’t have a big IT team sitting in the back office. So, a partnership like this—where one side brings network excellence and the other delivers specialist solutions—could well move the needle for ambitious startups and established firms alike. It lines up neatly with Jordan’s broader digital economy strategy, which is all about rolling out innovation on a national scale.

Just a small but telling detail: Orange Jordan already serves some 4.6 million customers, and it’s backed by the global Orange Group that operates in 26 countries. The focus on both top-notch networks and digital responsibility genuinely sets them apart, at least compared to some regional competitors who seem more about talk than action. In our own work at Arageek, I’ve bumped into plenty of founders and teams who know all too well how vital robust technology has become—not just as a nice-to-have, but the essential backbone for real growth.

Of course, we’ll have to see how this plays out in practice. Partnerships like these look great on paper, but the proof, as they say, is in the pudding—or, more appropriately for our part of the world, in the hustle and bustle of the daily business grind. Still, if Orange Jordan and StarLink can deliver what they’ve promised, there are likely to be a lot of chuffed business owners across the Kingdom, ready to seize the chance to level up their digital game. Definately one to watch.
