Zain Bahrain has recently picked up a noteworthy accolade, earning the prestigious Corporate Ethical Procurement and Supply certification from the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS). For those who've not crossed paths with CIPS before, they're essentially the gold standard authority when it comes to setting and regulating global procurement ethics, based up in Lincolnshire.

To secure this coveted certification, the entire procurement squad at Zain Bahrain completed a comprehensive training programme, leaving no stone unturned when it comes to spotting and tackling issues around fraud, bribery, and corruption. It's pretty clear the company was determined not only to tick the right boxes but also to genuinely embed a rock-solid ethical culture at the heart of its operations.

Shayma AlHelaibi, Procurement and Logistics Manager at Zain Bahrain, expressed her pride over this achievement, stressing that such recognition highlights the company's unwavering commitment to ethical business standards. "We are incredibly proud to be recognized for our efforts in ethical business practices," said AlHelaibi. She went on to say that this milestone reflects Zain Bahrain's determination to set benchmarks in corporate ethics while continuing to innovate and provide top-notch services.

Echoing AlHelaibi's enthusiasm, Sam Achampong, CIPS Regional Director for Africa, Middle East, and Asia, also congratulated Zain Bahrain. Achampong remarked, "We are delighted that Zain Bahrain has achieved certification in ethical procurement, demonstrating their understanding of the growing importance of ethical procurement." He added that organisations today really ought to have robust ethical procurement strategies which properly assess their entire supply chains to identify and combat potential risks.

So hats off to Zain Bahrain for taking these critical steps forward in corporate integrity. It’s actions like these that gently remind all industries to keep ethics front and centre. A bit like Arageek often says—doing good and doing business don’t have to be mutually exlusive.
