Omnix and Dataiku Forge Strategic Partnership to Scale AI Across the Gulf

Omnix and Dataiku partner to scale enterprise AI across the Gulf.
The focus is moving beyond “flashy pilot projects” to measurable results.
Their platform promises scalable, secure AI with proper governance and oversight.
Government and major sectors target trusted, accountable AI for business-critical operations.
Success depends on turning slide decks into real cost savings and efficiency gains.
Omnix International is doubling down on enterprise AI in the Gulf, announcing a new partnership with Dataiku that aims to help organisations move from small-scale experimentation to AI that actually delivers measurable business results.
The Dubai-headquartered digital transformation company will combine its regional delivery experience and long-standing relationships with governments and large enterprises with Dataiku’s governed AI platform. In simple terms, this means giving organisations the tools to build, deploy and manage artificial intelligence systems with clear oversight, not just flashy pilot projects that never quite make it into day-to-day operations.
Walid Gomaa, CEO of Omnix International, said the agreement reflects the company’s ambition to be a trusted digital transformation partner across the GCC. He noted that Dataiku’s platform would allow customers to “move beyond experimentation and adopt AI in a scalable and secure way” while meeting regional regulatory and operational requirements.
That point about regulation is spot on. Across the UAE and wider Gulf, AI is no longer just a buzzword; it’s wrapped up in national strategies, compliance rules and, increasingly, board-level KPIs. I’ve seen startups in our Arageek community wrestle with governance frameworks that feel like a bit of a faff at first, but they’re necessary if AI is to be trusted in sectors like banking or energy.
From Dataiku’s side, the partnership also strengthens its footprint in the region. Sofian Benali, Area Vice President for EMEA Partnerships at Dataiku, said organisations across the GCC are under pressure to turn AI trials into “trusted, measurable impact”. He added that the collaboration would help customers operationalise responsible AI with the governance and accountability required to scale.
And believe it or not, that “responsible AI” phrase is becoming central to enterprise tech conversations here. It’s no longer enough to build a clever model; companies need to show how decisions are made, how data is handled and who is accountable if something goes wrong. That’s especially true in government departments and public sector entities, which are among the key targets of this partnership.
Under the agreement, Omnix and Dataiku plan to support organisations across government, financial services, energy and utilities, telecommunications, and other large enterprises undergoing AI-driven transformation. The focus will be on tackling fragmented data environments, simplifying governance complexity and ensuring AI systems can be trusted in business-critical operations.
The companies say they will offer an integrated AI journey, from preparing data and developing models through to deployment and ongoing governance. In practice, that end-to-end approach could help organisations turn raw data into something genuinely useful, actionable intelligence rather than dashboards no one checks after the first month.
On the flip side, partnerships alone don’t guarante success. Execution matters. I reckon the real test will be how quickly joint projects move from slide decks into live environments that deliver cost savings, efficiency gains or new revenue streams. Still, with AI high on the GCC’s strategic agenda, the timing feels right.
For founders and enterprise leaders watching from the sidelines, this is another reminder that the region’s AI race is heating up. And as we often say at Arageek, the winners won’t just be those who experiment the most, but those who scale responsibly, and make it stick.
