Osome, the global business management platform powered by artificial intelligence, has just made its debut in the UAE, setting up shop right in Dubai. The firm, already known for helping more than 30,000 entrepreneurs worldwide manage their finances and admin headaches, is eyeing the city’s buzzing startup scene with genuine intent. And who could blame them? With over a million SMEs operating in Dubai, it’s a goldmine of opportunities — though running a company there can be, well… a bit of a faff with all the accounting, tax, and compliance work that comes with it.
Helena Flores, Osome’s Chief Operating Officer and now Managing Director of its UAE arm, put it neatly: founders should spend more time chasing their vision than wrestling with financial admin. She added that Osome’s aim is to lighten that load through AI-driven tools combined with expert human support — a blend that’s already proved spot on in places like Singapore, Hong Kong, and the UK.
One of their clients, Aesty Labs, seems pretty chuffed about it. Co-founder Nadia Zueva mentioned that Osome’s system freed her team from over 30 hours of admin each month. That’s a big chunk of time better spent fine-tuning products or talking to customers, I reckon. It’s no surprise that they feel more confident now when presenting numbers to investors — transparency can make or break a startup round, especially in these competitive times.
Of course, Osome isn’t stopping at offering accounting and payroll tools. They also want to weave themselves into Dubai’s business community by building a strong partner network. The company’s planning to show up at Expand North Star @GITEX 2025 — arguably the world’s biggest startup gathering — and even host a little private networking do the night before. Having attended similar events myself through the Arageek ecosystem, I can say those evenings often spark meaningful partnerships that later blossom into serious ventures.
In its other markets, Osome collaborates with fintechs, accelerators, and VCs — essentially anyone who helps founders grow faster and smarter. They’re hoping to recreate that magic here, plugging into Dubai’s vibrant entrepreneurial culture that’s constantly redefining what’s possible.
Flores further highlighted how the UAE’s digital-first government policies and push for financial transparency align perfectly with Osome’s vision. She believes the country’s growing community of global entrepreneurs deserves tools that make running a business less painful and more productive. And honestly, she’s probably right — the pace of innovation here is relentless, and nobody’s got time for clunky spreadsheets anymore.
Since kicking off in 2017, Osome has handled more than five million financial documents and prepared over 100,000 months of reports. That’s no small feat. Its platform simplifies everything from incorporation to taxation, payroll, and compliance — a one-stop solution that might just make life easier for founders looking to focus on what really matters.
All in all, Osome’s arrival in Dubai feels timely. The ecosystem’s heating up, and players who can ease the operational grind are always welcome. It’s definately a move worth watching — both for startups ready to grow and for the partners eager to help them get there.
