Salesforce has pulled out all the stops at GITEX Africa 2025, held in Casablanca, revealing how its breakthrough Agentforce platform is set to change the game for businesses across the continent. Sounds a bit technical, doesn't it? But here's the thing—these AI agents aren't just blinking lights and nice-to-haves; they actually execute business tasks with human-like intelligence.
Since its launch back in September 2024, Agentforce has rapidly become Salesforce's fastest-growing solution, with over 5,000 organisations around the globe already taking it on board. According to industry analysts, platforms like Agentforce represent the third wave of artificial intelligence—moving beyond simple automation into tasks that typically demand human reasoning.
Omar Oualif, Salesforce's Regional Vice President, summed it up rather neatly, saying, "At Salesforce, we believe that enhancing the customer experience is an essential driver of success. With Agentforce, we are transforming how African businesses interact with their customers, utilising intelligent agents that understand and anticipate customer needs, leading to deeper connections and trust."
Visitors attending GITEX Africa have been getting hands-on demos of Salesforce's latest offering—Agentforce 2dx. This new generation brings smarter, more proactive AI into the mix, with agents that anticipate requirements, react instantly to data changes, and seamlessly slot into virtually any business process you throw at them.
They've even launched something called AgentExchange—an online marketplace stuffed full of prebuilt templates and industry-specific setups. Attendees can browse through these, pick something relevant, and get up and running in no time flat. Pretty handy stuff, really.
Why does this matter right now for African businesses? Well, a recent report from Futurum Research apparently found that organisations deploying Agentforce realise ROI five times faster compared to their home-grown AI solutions, and cut overall costs by around 20%. Not too shabby when everyone's scrambling to seize a slice of the global digital labour opportunity—an opportunity forecasted to reach a staggering $6 trillion.
The Salesforce booth at GITEX also highlights a thriving AI community here in Africa, showcasing several local partners that are leaning into this exciting new landscape. BaybridgeDigital, for instance, is there to stress their commitment, with more than 300 projects under their belt. As their representative pointed out: "We connect brands, technology, data, and people to empower African enterprises to scale faster and innovate like never before."
NBS Consulting is keen to share success stories of immersive tech personalising customer interactions, stating, "We are excited to share inspiring success stories and demonstrate immersive technologies that personalise and optimise customer interactions."
Gear9, a Moroccan technology stalwart that's now a familiar face at the show, is keen to underline their innovative achievements. Their CEO, Mounir Bouchiha, proudly claimed: "Our real-world implementations on the Salesforce platform underscore the transformative power of AI, data, and CRM solutions. This year, we aim to further strengthen our vision of innovation."
Telecoms, banking, insurance and distribution specialist ASSA Associates is showcasing expertise in Salesforce's industry-specific solutions, with its spokesperson emphasising their readiness to tackle digital transformation challenges.
D&A Technologies, another African partner, didn't mince words and spoke of their pride in showcasing the continent's own trailblazing excellence with AI and CRM integrations. "This is a great opportunity to strengthen our strategic partnership with Salesforce and highlight our expertise in leading ambitious transformation projects across the continent,” the company added.
Meanwhile, Salesforce isn't just there to present slick demonstrations. They're also offering visitors interactive, hands-on sessions with their low-code development tools, as well as sharing real-world examples from African businesses who've jumped on the AI bandwagon. Developers even have the option to sign up for a free Developer Edition to test drive everything first-hand.
With such a vibrant showcase, Salesforce's vision of empowering the next generation of professionals—or "Agentblazers," as they're calling them—to lead the future of AI-enabled business is clearer than ever. Feels like we're all hopping into the fast lane of innovation, ARAGeek readers—and, frankly, it's rather exciting to watch it all kick off.
