If you're as excited as I am about what's next in the tech and startup space in 2025, it definitely pays to keep your finger on the pulse. From the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas and Silicon Valley's brightest minds, to historic cities like Vienna and Paris—there's something intriguing happening practically every month. Here’s a quick rundown of some of the unmissable events on the calendar

March 2025

March comes packed with substance too. Big Data & AI World hits London on the 12th and 13th, offering attendees an invaluable glimpse of how AI is quietly shaping the way we live and work. Meanwhile, Nvidia's GTC event in San Jose takes the spotlight from the 17th-20th March. It's the go-to place if you’re looking to get immersed in GPU innovations and AI breakthroughs.

Later in the month, you'll find industrial solutions lighting up Hannover (Hannover Messe) in Germany, with robotics, renewable energy, and digitalization front and centre.

April 2025

Springtime in San Francisco brings RSA Conference 2025; cybersecurity pros together from 28th April-1st May. This event covers absolutely everything—from barely audible whispers on data protection to loud discussions around threat detection. Fossilizing on data analytics (Data Universe) , an equally engaging event unfolds in New York City on 30th April and runs into the first of May, shining a spotlight on data governance, big data, and analytics.

May 2025

Stateside again, Boston hosts IBM Think 2025 early in May, sharing insights drawn from big guns like Ferrari, UFC, and the US Open on tapping the full potential of AI. Meanwhile, Vienna becomes Europe's inspiring playground of startups and visionaries from 8th-16th May at ViennaUP, pulling in thousands of attendees eager to network and learn vital tricks of the trade.

Closer to home, AI Rush 2025 arrives at London's doorstep on 16th May, promising stellar discussions around how artificial intelligence is shaping our everyday world (and probably discussing whether we should panic or party about it—time will tell!).

If you fancy a trip to Dublin on the 28th-29th May, one of Europe's key gatherings, Tech Summit, features debates covering robotics, drone tech, and cybersecurity, plus standout sessions designed specifically for startups hoping to woo potential investors.

June 2025

As summer heats up, tech fanatics descend upon picturesque Paris for VivaTech from 11th-14th June, bringing together creators and corporate giants for forward-thinking conversations about sustainability, digital transformation, and much more. Meanwhile, London Tech Week (9th-13th June) promises fresh perspectives, exciting connections, and a melting pot of global innovation.

Amsterdam pulls double duty later in June with The Next Web (TNW) conference on the 19th-20th making waves with insightful sessions on blockchain and sustainability; plus chances aplenty to network. And not to forget, European Women in Tech (25th-26th June in Amsterdam) is blazing trails with keynotes to inspire and empower Europe's female professionals.

July

Brits who adore gaming should bookmark 8th-10th July for Develop:Brighton, an event tailor-made for anyone chasing success in game development, from indie creators to seasoned pros.

August

Come August—Las Vegas again proves the place to be for cybersecurity aficionados, with Black Hat USA promising a full-on schedule designed to keep attendees ahead of the cybersecurity curve (and buzzing on those essential caffeine-fuelled late nights).

September

Autumn kicks off with dedicated events for data architecture in London (Data Architecture London, 10th September), messaging solutions (Shift Conference) from Infobip in sunny Zadar, Croatia (14th-16th September), and the ever-busy Data & Analytics Expo in London (24th-25th September), setting the stage for insightful discussions and practical solutions to data-driven headaches.

October

Bits & Pretzels in Munich: Munich, 29th September - 1st October

And for those who fancy Bier and Bratwurst along with tech talks, Bits & Pretzels in Munich (29th September-1st October) combines Oktoberfest’s legendary vibes with startup energy. You simply can’t beat networking at such a cheerful venue.

Novermber

  • Slush: Helsinki, Finland, 19th-20th November

Finally, rounding off the year with warmth in Lisbon from 11th-14th November, Web Summit continues to draw crowds from across industries, and Slush in chilly Helsinki (19th-20th November) provides crucial match-making for startups and investors—definitely pack your woolen scarf for that one.

Whether you’re firmly into web3, passionate about AI's future, or charmed by stories of Premier League legends like Thomas Robson-Kanu trading their boots for wellness startups with ventures like The Turmeric Co., or executives like Sanjay Lobo leaving the legal arena for social entreprises like OnHand—2025 has clearly got something for everyone interested in entrepreneurship and innovation.

Before I wrap things up (just like my sandwich from Pret earlier), don't forget to stay updated through valuable resources provided by folks like Arageek, who make exploring this ever-evolving tech landscape just that little bit easier.

And just a quick reminder—there’s always plenty going on beyond this roundup, so keep your eyes peeled and your Oystercard topped up.
