Engagesoft raised $3,5 million to enhance AI tools for organisational health analysis.

Founded by Omar and Tareq Tahboub, they serve clients like Zamil Industrial and Edita.

Zamil praised Engagesoft's role in fostering open employee feedback within companies.

Engagesoft has processed over ten million employee responses, boosting engagement by 30%.

Operating across the MENA region, they aim to set the standard in workplace culture analytics.

Engagesoft, a Saudi-based AI platform focused on boosting employee engagement and organisational performance, has just landed a $3.5 million pre-Series A round led by Silicon Badia. Quite the feather in their cap, given they’ve seen tenfold revenue growth in just 18 months — not something you hear every day, right? The fresh capital will help the company sharpen its AI tools and widen its mission to give businesses a fuller picture of organisational health, covering everything from culture and leadership effectiveness to performance.

It’s worth noting how far they’ve come since their founding in 2021 by brothers Omar and Tareq Tahboub. With Omar’s track record at Oracle, Bayt.com, and Syarah, and Tareq’s fifteen years in technical leadership roles in Japan, the pair clearly know a thing or two about scaling products across regions. Today, Engagesoft has positioned itself as a go-to partner for top organisations such as Zamil Industrial, Edita Food Industries, and the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property — a mixed bag of industries, all looking to understand their people better.

One quote that stood out to me came from Ibrahim AlKaabi at Zamil Industrial, who said Engagesoft had become “a true catalyst” for encouraging open feedback among employees. That sort of endorsement doesn’t come easy in the corporate world. And over at Edita, Chief People and Culture Officer Maged Tadros praised the platform’s analytics for helping management grasp how staff *truly* feel — which, let’s be honest, is often where most engagement surveys fall flat.

Omar Tahboub himself admitted the market is moving faster than they’d anticipated. With this funding, he’s betting on the next generation of AI-powered insights to make Engagesoft the gold standard for workplace culture in the region. That’s a bold vision, but one I reckon might just be spot on, especially given how often MENA startups struggle to outpace global incumbents in enterprise SaaS.

From Silicon Badia’s side, investment manager Erass Majdoubeh said they saw Engagesoft sitting right at the crossroads of MENA’s thriving enterprise sector and the worldwide demand for smarter employee engagement. The firm’s backing is a solid nod to how well Engagesoft has held its ground against international players. And believe it or not, the company’s processed over ten million employee responses so far, with enterprises seeing, on average, a 30% lift in engagement levels — not bad going.

Now operating in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Jordan, Engagesoft counts 120 enterprise clients spread across Bahrain, Qatar, the UAE, Palestine, and beyond. For a regional SaaS business born just a few years ago, that’s quite the leap. At **Arageek**, we’ve often talked about how startups in the region are levelling the playing field globally — and Engagesoft feels like another one of those rare stories where local insight meets genuine technical edge.

On the flip side, challenges will come thick and fast as they expand beyond MENA, but with that mix of homegrown talent and a clear focus on data-driven culture, I wouldn’t bet against them. It’s a bit of a faff to nail employee engagement in any context… yet Engagesoft seems to be doing just that, and doing it rather well. Honestly, I’m chuffed to bits seeing another MENA-born SaaS firm making waves on the global scene — it definately gives the region’s startup community another reason to believe.
