AD Ports Group has just sealed a ten-year lease deal with TW Steel, a firm specialising in prefabricated structures, aiming to roll out cutting-edge container fabrication and maintenance solutions at Khalifa Port.

Aside from the usual container fabrication and mods, TW Steel's remit includes an impressive range of additional services—from flooring and structural repairs to painting, door maintenance and seal checks. Sanitisation, cleaning and even refrigeration unit servicing are all part of the package. Sounds like the full works, if you ask me.

Commenting on the deal, Saif Al Mazrouei, CEO of AD Ports' Ports Cluster, seemed genuinely excited about the collaboration, pointing out it's an opportunity for Khalifa Port's clientele to enjoy customised container-based solutions that are both innovative and practical.

For its part, TW Steel's General Manager Fakher Darwish made clear that the company's next-gen modular tech means they'll be delivering energy-efficient and top-quality products designed to improve operational performance and, importantly, help reduce the environmental footprint. Can't argue with that now, can we?

This latest agreement seems to fit neatly into AD Ports Group's wider drive to upgrade infrastructure at Khalifa Port—already seen by many as one of the key logisticcs hubs in the region. So it certainly looks like exciting times ahead for the port and those using it.
