Born on May 23, 1960, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Hossam Bin Saud Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud is the son of King Saud bin Abdulaziz and Princess Noura bint Abdullah bin Fahad Al-Damer.
After completing his secondary education, he went on to attain a bachelor’s degree in Economics from King Saud University in Riyadh in 1981.
Pursuing further studies abroad, he earned a diploma in Economics from the London School of Economics (LSE) in 1982, followed three years later by a master’s degree. Driven by his passion and intellectual curiosity, he continued his academic journey until earning his doctorate in Economics from LSE in 1995.
Prince Hossam is married to Princess Sarah bint Mosaad bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and together they have five children:

Previously, he was partner and board member in the Saudi Paper Manufacturing Company, one of the largest paper producers in the region. Today, as Chairman of Zain Saudi Arabia—a branch of the global telecommunications giant—he actively contributes to the telecom sector’s growth, innovation, and competitive marketplace presence.
Moreover, his significant role in regional development as Governor is highlighted by large infrastructure projects, his passion for resolving community disputes, and cultivating economic growth.
In April 2017, Prince Hossam was appointed by King Salman bin Abdulaziz as the Governor of Al-Baha area, succeeding Prince Mishari bin Saud bin Abdulaziz. This appointment marked a new stage in his public service career, allowing him to utilize his extensive business knowledge and leadership capabilities for regional prosperity.
