Kuwaiti quick-commerce startup Circle has successfully raised $6 million in its Series A funding round, attracting several strategic investors as interest in rapid delivery services continues to soar.
Established back in 2020 by Altaf Al-Thukair, Circle set out from day one with a clear mission: to revolutionise retail shopping by offering doorstep delivery of everyday groceries and household essentials in less than 20 minutes. Anyone who's waited helplessly for milk or bread while the kettle boils can appreciate the value of that—so much better than traipsing out to the shops on a rainy evening.
Circle's aim is to transform how people shop by leveraging technology and streamlining the entire shopping process. Their secret sauce centres on optimised last-mile logistics, efficient warehouse systems with clear visibility into stock levels, improved picking and packing procedures, and exceptionally speedy delivery routes, according to their press release.
What sets Circle apart is their clever network of local fulfilment centres and tech-driven direct-to-customer warehouses, ensuring that favourite products remain constantly available—as opposed to often frustrating online shopping experiences where goods mysteriously vanish from shelves. Using the company's dedicated app, customers can place orders with no fuss and receive them almost immeidately, enhancing convenience and simplifying everyday routines.
With this latest investment, Circle has ambitious plans to expand beyond Kuwait's borders. By early 2026, the startup intends to establish a solid foothold in several key regional markets, driving innovation and continuing to use cutting-edge technology to make life just that little bit easier for everyone involved.
It looks like convenience shopping just got a lot more interesting. We'll certainly keep an eye on how things pan out; readers of Arageek may well find Circle popping up on their radars sooner rather than later.
