The EduVation Summit 25 wrapped up this year with quite a buzz, managing to pull together an impressive mix of decision‑makers, educators, and tech partners under one roof. I’ve seen plenty of events across the region try to do the same, but this one felt a bit more grounded. Maybe it’s because the organisers didn’t just focus on big numbers; they stitched together real, practical interactions that actually matter for people working in education. And believe it or not, that’s rarer than you’d think.
Over the two days, the summit arranged more than 108 prescheduled meetings between schools and companies. From what was shared publicly, these weren’t random speed‑dating sessions but proper sit‑downs that helped both sides explore genuine collaboration opportunities. I reckon this kind of intentional matchmaking—spot on when done right—often leads to partnerships that last longer than the usual post‑event handshake.
There were also more than 25 exhibitors showcasing tools and services for both traditional education and the growing edtech space. Another 40‑plus partners backed the event, adding to the sense that the ecosystem is slowly aligning its efforts. I remember chatting with a founder at a similar gathering last year, and he told me how hard it was just to get all these players in the same room. So seeing it happen here feels encouraging.
The organisers didn’t skimp on content either. The summit featured 37 speakers, including well‑known figures in the sector, along with eight specialised workshops and four panel discussions. These covered everything from emerging education trends to how technology is reshaping teaching methods. On the flip side, some sessions did run a bit long—a bit of a faff for anyone trying to jump between halls—but that happens at nearly every big conference I’ve been to.
Around five demo rooms gave companies the chance to show their solutions in action. It’s one thing to talk about a shiny new platform and another to let people poke around and test it themselves. That hands‑on element tends to stick, especially for school leaders who want to see if a tool genuinely solves a problem or just adds to their workload.
Schools that had contributed notably in earlier editions were also recognised, which added a nice human touch. These acknowledgements may seem symbolic, but from my experience meeting educators across the region, such gestures often motivate them far more than people realise.
Attendance topped 500 people in person and more than 1,000 joining online. That mix of physical and virtual participation has become the norm post‑pandemic, though managing both well is still a challenge many events struggle with. Here, it seemed to run smoothly enough… well, mostly—there was definately one livestream that buffered at the wrong moment, but that’s life with tech.
By the end of it, the summit positioned itself once again as a strategic meeting point for those shaping the future of education. And as someone who spends plenty of time around founders and innovators through Arageek’s work, I can say the event’s focus on long‑term, sustainable solutions felt refreshingly aligned with what the region genuinely needs.
If the organisers keep building on this momentum, they might just turn this summit into one of those annual fixtures everyone puts on their calendar without thinking twice.
