Buying a car in Egypt can be exciting… but let’s be honest, the financing part is often a bit of a faff. Now, Egyptian Gulf Bank (EGBANK) and Dubizzle Egypt are trying to smooth that journey through a new strategic partnership designed to bring car listings and financing solutions together in one digital flow.

Announced in Cairo on 20 April 2026, the agreement aims to offer customers financing and instalment options for both new and used vehicles directly through Dubizzle’s platform. The idea is simple: while browsing cars online, users can also explore financing offers without hopping from one website to another.

Dubizzle Egypt, known as one of the country’s leading digital classifieds platforms, already hosts a wide range of vehicles across categories and price points. Through this collaboration, EGBANK brings its “DRYVNOW” service into the mix, promising financing approvals within just a few hours. In a market where time is often money, that kind of speed could be spot on.

Under the new setup, Dubizzle users will be able to calculate down payments, monthly instalments, repayment periods and the available financing amount instantly on the platform. They can also request an immediate preliminary approval, subject of course to the bank’s terms and conditions. It’s a more integrated experience, cutting down on paperwork and back-and-forth steps that can slow buyers down.

Yasmin Galal, Head of Retail Banking and SMEs at EGBANK, described the move as an important step in the bank’s plan to expand its digital financing solutions and introduce innovative banking services that match changing market needs. She noted that partnering with a widely used platform like Dubizzle allows the bank to reach a broader customer base looking to purchase vehicles, while offering fast and flexible financing powered by digital tools. The goal, she indicated, is to streamline the journey from choosing a car to securing the right financing in record time.

From Dubizzle’s side, Rayan Emad, Head of Strategic Partnerships and Advertising, said the exclusive agreement with EGBANK enhances the automotive user experience on the platform. By combining Dubizzle’s marketplace with reliable financing services, she said, users can move from searching for a car to financing it and ultimately owning it in one relatively seamless flow. It also reinforces Dubizzle’s position as a trusted destination for car buyers in Egypt.

I’ve seen a few early-stage startups across MENA try something similar, and when it works, it really works, it removes friction, and that’s always a win. I reckon this partnership follows that same logic.

On the flip side, execution will be key. Integrations can look great on paper but stumble in practice if the process feels clunky. Still, if the technology delivers as expected, this could definately reshape how many Egyptians approach car financing.

And believe it or not, small changes like letting users calculate instalments on the same page as a car listing can make a big psychological difference. It shifts the mindset from “maybe one day” to “actually, this could happen now.” For a market that’s becoming more digitally confident by the year, that shift might be just what it needs.
