Hassan Allam Holding will host Egypt’s Entrepreneur Awards at the Grand Egyptian Museum.

The move links Egypt’s ancient legacy with its modern entrepreneurial push.

Organisers say the awards connect innovators, investors and industry leaders.

Over five years, EEA has recognised founders from fintech to sustainability.

The sixth edition aims to cement Egypt’s place on the regional startup map.

Hassan Allam Holding is teaming up with Egypt’s Entrepreneur Awards (EEA) to host the awards ceremony at the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), starting with the upcoming sixth edition. The agreement, announced in Cairo on 22 April 2026, places one of Egypt’s most high-profile entrepreneurship platforms inside what is billed as the world’s largest museum dedicated to a single civilisation.

It’s a move that feels symbolic, and not by accident. The Grand Egyptian Museum, sitting right beside the Pyramids of Giza, is more than a venue. By bringing EEA there, both sides are clearly trying to link Egypt’s ancient legacy with its modern entrepreneurial push. In a region where storytelling matters, that connection is spot on.

Amr Allam, Co-CEO of Hassan Allam Holding, said the collaboration reflects the group’s commitment to backing entrepreneurship as a driver of economic growth. Hosting the awards at GEM, he noted, supports platforms that connect innovators, investors and industry leaders, helping accelerate Egypt’s evolving business ecosystem.

On the flip side, the awards themselves have been building momentum. Founded by Amr Mansi and organised by ievents, Egypt’s Entrepreneur Awards has, over the past five years, positioned itself as a leading stage for founders across sectors. From fintech and logistics to sustainability and the creative industries, hundreds of entrepreneurs have been recognised. The sixth edition is expected to raise the bar again.

Mansi said the awards have long served as a meeting point for figures shaping the economy, adding that innovation needs inspiration. According to him, there could hardly be a more fitting setting than the Grand Egyptian Museum to reflect the ambitions of Egypt’s entrepreneurs. Extending the partnership with Hassan Allam Holding, he said, should ensure an experience that connects the country’s history with the possibilities ahead.

Bringing founders, investors, policymakers and executives under one roof, and quite a roof it is, the new edition aims to celebrate achievements across several specialised categories. The backdrop of the Pyramids and Egypt’s cultural treasures will likely give the evening an added sense of gravitas. And believe it or not, symbolism like this can matter when you’re trying to position a startup ecosystem on the global stage.

At Arageek, we’ve seen how much visibility can change the game for early-stage founders across MENA. I still remember attending a regional startup event a few years ago where one pitch night turned into a funding round within weeks. These platforms are not just glitzy ceremonies; they can be launchpads. That said, I’m not always a fan of awards that are all shine and no substance. In this case, though, the track record suggests the impact is real.

For Egypt’s entrepreneurs, EEA continues to offer more than trophies. It provides exposure, mentorship opportunities and access to capital, all critical if startups are to scale beyond borders. In a market that is definately maturing but still navigating global headwinds, that kind of ecosystem support is no small thing.

The sixth edition, now anchored at the GEM, signals a clear ambition: to celebrate innovation on a stage as grand as the history that surrounds it. And if it succeeds, it could further cement Egypt’s place in the regional entrepreneurship map, not just as a market to watch, but as one to take seriously.
