ExtraHop is expanding in Saudi Arabia, partnering with AstroLabs to deepen its presence.
The move targets Vision 2030 growth and rising demand for cyber resilience.
Regional customers have grown nearly 50 per cent year on year.
Its NDR platform gives “definitive evidence” from network data to stop threats early.
The expansion includes local investment as competition in Saudi cybersecurity intensifies.
ExtraHop, the Seattle-headquartered cybersecurity firm known for its network detection and response (NDR) platform, is stepping up its presence in Saudi Arabia, teaming up with AstroLabs to plant firmer roots in the Kingdom. The move marks another chapter in the company’s international push, after a period of expansion and customer wins across Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific.
Saudi Arabia is not a casual choice. As the region’s largest economy and a central trade hub, it is also in the middle of a sweeping digital transformation under Vision 2030. And with digital growth comes risk. Cyber resilience, especially for critical infrastructure and major enterprises, is no longer a “nice to have”, it’s non-negotiable.
ExtraHop has already been gaining traction across the Middle East, particularly in government, financial services and transportation. The company reports a near 50 per cent year-on-year increase in net new customers in the region, crediting much of that momentum to a strong channel strategy built with regional partners. The Saudi expansion builds on that base, allowing the firm to work more closely with large enterprises and infrastructure operators inside the Kingdom.
From what we’ve seen at Arageek over the years, cybersecurity startups and scale-ups entering Saudi often find the process a bit of a faff without the right local guidance. That’s where AstroLabs comes in. Known as one of the Gulf’s leading business expansion platforms, it supports international tech companies as they establish and scale in Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Over the past decade, AstroLabs says it has helped more than 2,000 companies enter and integrate into the region’s fast-growing markets, backed by a network of over 10,000 decision-makers.
Fouad Tawk, Area Vice President for the Middle East, Turkey and Africa at ExtraHop, said the company’s international growth reflects the level of trust placed in it by organisations operating in highly demanding sectors. He noted that deepening its footprint in Saudi Arabia will allow critical organisations to access what he described as “definitive evidence” from network data, helping them diagnose and resolve security and performance issues quickly while maintaining business continuity.
On the AstroLabs side, Fouad Fattal, Vice President of Commercial, pointed out that as enterprises accelerate their digital investments in line with Vision 2030, security solutions must keep pace. He described ExtraHop’s approach to network security and operations as a timely addition to a market that is rapidly evolving, particularly when it comes to safeguarding critical infrastructure.
For readers less familiar with NDR, it essentially means using network data, the raw traffic flowing across systems, to detect suspicious behaviour and potential breaches in real time. ExtraHop’s platform analyses behaviour across complex, hybrid environments, including cloud and on-premise systems, aiming to spot sophisticated threats such as supply chain attacks or zero-day vulnerabilities before they cause damage. The company also positions its technology as a tool to simplify regulatory compliance, offering audit trails and behavioural analysis to validate security controls.
And believe it or not, in a region racing towards AI adoption and cloud modernisation, that visibility can be the difference between a minor hiccup and a full-blown crisis. I’m not a fan of alarmist cybersecurity marketing, but in this case the emphasis on resilience feels spot on. As digital infrastructure becomes the backbone of everything from transport to finance, the stakes are simply higher.
ExtraHop has also been recognised as a Leader in recent industry reports, including Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Network Detection and Response 2025, The Forrester Wave for Network Analysis and Visibility in late 2025, and IDC’s 2024 MarketScape assessment. Such mentions, while not everything, do carry weight in enterprise boardrooms across the Gulf.
That said, establishing a local presence is more than a press release. It means investing in local technical resources and partner support, something ExtraHop says it is actively scaling in Saudi Arabia. If done right, it could put the company in a strong position to support some of the Kingdom’s most ambition projects under Vision 2030.
For startups and scale-ups watching from the sidelines, there’s a clear message here. Saudi Arabia’s cybersecurity market is maturing fast, and global players are lining up to be part of it. The opportunity is definately there, but so is the competition.
