Million Pound Menu remains a crucial platform for food entrepreneurs to gain investor interest and support.

Foodics has renewed its partnership with Egypt’s Million Pound Menu for the second year running, doubling down on its role as the show’s official technology partner. The reality programme, now airing on ONTV, WATCH It, and CBC Sofra, gives F&B hopefuls a rare chance to pitch their concepts to heavyweight investors who might just bankroll their next stage of growth. I remember chatting with a young café founder at an Arageek event last year who said these platforms feel like “rocket fuel” when used well… I reckon he wasn’t far off.

The company’s involvement isn’t just a badge on the screen. Foodics is equipping contestants with its full suite of restaurant‑management tools — from order handling and stock tracking to real‑time analytics designed to spot operational inefficiencies before they turn into a bit of a faff. What stood out to me is how deeply they embed themselves into the process. Contestants get hands-on training tailored to their restaurant concepts, followed by on‑site support during execution day. And believe it or not, that behind‑the‑scenes help can make or break a service rush when cameras are rolling and nerves are high.

Belal Zahran, Foodics’ international managing director for Egypt and the UAE, said the renewed partnership reflects the company’s commitment to backing entrepreneurs and nurturing innovation in Egypt’s food and beverage sector. He explained that providing flexible, tech-driven systems helps participants sharpen their operations and present stronger business models to investors. He also noted that the tools offered are already in use across thousands of restaurants in the region, which gives contestants a realistic feel for scaling their ideas in a fast-evolving market.

On the flip side, while I’m not a fan of tech being treated as a magic wand, it’s spot on to say that operational clarity boosts confidence — especially for founders still finding their feet. Zahran added that Foodics plans to keep investing in technologies and initiatives that offer practical support and pave the way for long-term, sustainable growth across the F&B ecosystem.

Million Pound Menu itself has become one of the region’s more influential platforms for spotlighting food entrepreneurs. It brings ambitious founders face to face with investors who can help turn a clever concept into a functioning business. And yes, the process can be intense — one contestant once told me it felt like “running a marathon inside a pressure cooker,” which sounds dramatic but… well, I mean, I’ve seen enough founders sweat through pitch days to believe it.

Foodics, known across the MENA region for its cloud-based restaurant and fintech solutions, says it aims to keep supporting entrepreneurs from initial idea to full-scale execution. For a sector that moves quickly and sometimes chaotically, that kind of stability is definately welcome.
