INJAZ Bahrain, with Bapco Refining, launched their second Toastmasters Club to empower young leaders.

The first club grew rapidly, reaching 50 members; the new club started with 20.

These clubs focus on leadership, confidence, and critical thinking skills for young Bahrainis.

Toastmasters of the Year Awards were given to emerging talents Abdelrahman, Abdulla, and Malak.

INJAZ Bahrain, celebrating 20 years, reaches over 1 million youth, promoting entrepreneurship and leadership.

I've always admired startups and initiatives that give young people the space and platform they need to genuinely shine. And frankly, INJAZ Bahrain has once again hit the nail on the head. They've now officially kicked off their second Toastmasters Club, partnering up with Bapco Refining, a subsidiary of Bapco Energies. And believe it or not, the launch event at Bapco Club featured some seriously impressive guests, including Her Highness Sheikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, INJAZ Bahrain Chairperson, and Dr. Abdulrahman Jawahery, acting MD of Bapco Energies and CEO of Bapco Refining.

I reckon a second club was pretty much on the cards considering the roaring success of their first. Let's be honest here—INJAZ's first club rapidly grew to a proud 50 members, making it easily one of the most dynamic Toastmasters clubs around these parts. Now, the new club starts off straight out of the blocks, welcoming another 20 members into the fold.

It's not just about learning how to speak clearly, mind you—these clubs teach young Bahrainis leadership, confidence, and critical thinking. And for the past two years, the members of INJAZ Bahrain Toastmasters haven't just talked the talk, they've absolutely walked it. Seven of their members reached the final stages at last year's District Toastmasters Annual Conference (DTAC), with competitors hailing not just from Bahrain but also Egypt, Kuwait and Iraq. This year, in May 2025, five members proudly represented the kingdom when Bahrain played host to DTAC itself.

You know, at Arageek we're constantly scouting inspiring initiatives across the MENA startup scene. INJAZ Bahrain certainly ticks all the right boxes. Especially considering their commitment to community engagement as well: they've rolled out public speaking workshops at local schools, presented masterclasses in international locations like Porto and Tunis and even led proceedings at the UN.

During the launch ceremony, INJAZ also honoured their best performers—the Toastmasters of the Year Awards went to Abdelrahman Nasser (first place), Abdulla Madan (second) and Malak Almeel (third). Hats off to these rising stars, genuinely helping others grow alongside their own personal development.

Sheikha Hessa summed it all up rather spot on when she praised the partnership with Bapco Refining, saying, "As we celebrate 20 years of empowering youth through INJAZ Bahrain, the launch of our second Toastmasters Club stands as a symbol of our enduring belief in the power of young voices to shape the future." She went on gratefully highlighting Dr Jawahery's crucial role in launching these initiatives. In his own remarks, Jawahery described the new club as a bold step forward and restated Bapco Energies' ongoing pledge to back programmes that boost local leadership skills.

INJAZ Bahrain Toastmasters Club remains unique in the Kingdom as it's the only one specifically aimed at Generation Z folks. From 17 trophies in 2023 to an impressive 50 awards collected by 2025, they're quickly becoming known as a powerhouse. And to be fair, their momentum right now is nothing short of inspiring.

Celebrating two decades since starting out as part of Junior Achievement Worldwide in 2005, INJAZ Bahrain has reached more than 1 million young learners with programmes around entrepreneurship, financial smarts, digital literacy and more. Working together with over 22,000 volunteers, the organisation keeps inspiring tomorrow’s leaders across some 290 schools and 15 universities.

It makes me genuinely chuffed to bits to see such efforts—building skills, shaping minds and enabling confident youth. Well… I mean, at Arageek, we've always believed the future is shaped by those who know how to communicate and lead effectively.

All the best to INJAZ Bahrian and to their talented young members.
