This collaboration strengthens Abu Dhabi's position as a global digital and media innovation hub.

There's some interesting news coming out of Abu Dhabi for anyone keeping an eye on the booming influencer economy. It seems the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) has just inked a deal with Gushcloud, a Singaporean outfit known internationally for licensing digital content and handling intellectual property through AI technology.

Now, if you're one of the regular readers over at Arageek, you likely know how much the influencer world has exploded—globally, it's tipped to hit a massive $440bn in the coming years, up from about $250bn right now. With that backdrop in mind, the arrival of Gushcloud in Abu Dhabi isn't just another corporate expansion—it's a pretty big deal.

The new venture will immediately create over 100 full-time roles in fields like finance, technology, sales and IP management. And here's something interesting—Gushcloud is relocating its top-notch exectutives to this new regional base, marking this outpost as the company's largest international HQ yet. Sounds like quite a vote of confidence in Abu Dhabi's business environment, doesn't it?

On top of all that, Gushcloud is also planning to launch what they're calling their "Creative Ventures" programme. It'll offer crucial funding, direct commercial backing, and further resources for digital content creators. In short, this could truly position Abu Dhabi as a magnetic destination for creative talent across the region.

Badr Al-Olama, Director-General of ADIO, commented that the emirate is keen to nurture a vibrant, first-class digital media ecosystem, one that empowers creators, innovators, and investors alike. He noted that this partnership highlights clearly the competitive edge of the emirate, including its advanced infrastructure, solid investments, and qualified local talent.

Meanwhile, Althea Lim, Gushcloud's Co-Founder and boss, pointed out Abu Dhabi's supportive atmosphere for digital creators, describing the emirate as an ideal hub for managing the company's operations across Europe, Africa, India and the wider Middle East region, thanks to its strategic location.

Jay Carr, Gushcloud's Head of HR in the Middle East and North Africa, backed up that sentiment by emphasising their dedication to nurturing local talent pools in partnership with universities and local stakeholders.

All told, this agreement clearly marks another leap forward for Abu Dhabi’s ambitions to become a global digital and media innovation hub. It's definitely something worth keeping your eye on—especially if you're passionate about seeing more job opportunities open up in this thriving sector.
