UiPath and Deloitte Unveil Agentic ERP to Revamp Enterprise Automation

UiPath and Deloitte launch “Agentic ERP” to fix messy enterprise processes.
The system links AI agents, robots and humans into coordinated workflows.
It targets heavy processes like Record to Report and Source to Pay.
A bring‑your‑own LLM model and “AI Trust Layer” stress governance.
Success depends on delivering real change across legacy systems and regulation.
UiPath is doubling down on its partnership with Deloitte, rolling out a new “Agentic ERP” offering aimed at helping large organisations untangle the mess that often sits around their enterprise systems.
On paper, ERP platforms are meant to be the digital backbone of a company. In reality, many businesses still juggle spreadsheets, emails, portals and niche tools just to reconcile data or manage exceptions. It’s a bit of a faff, to be honest. The result? Slower processes, higher running costs and audit headaches that no CFO enjoys.
The new offering from Deloitte, powered by UiPath’s automation technology, is designed to move companies beyond isolated task automation towards full process orchestration. In simple terms, it connects AI agents, software robots, enterprise systems and human decision-makers into one coordinated flow. The focus areas are the heavy-duty workflows every large company knows too well: Record to Report, Source to Pay, Lead to Cash, and Master Data management.
At the heart of this is UiPath Maestro and its Agent Builder tools. These systems allow organisations to design AI agents that don’t just complete tasks, but also follow through, escalate exceptions and work alongside people. Humans remain in control of approvals and final calls, while agents handle the repetitive grind.
Hitesh Ramani, Chief Accounting Officer and Deputy CFO at UiPath, said the expanded alliance is about helping enterprises take an AI-first approach to ERP modernisation. He noted that combining autonomous AI agents with robotic process automation can shift businesses from assisted automation to what he described as intelligent workflow orchestration, unlocking efficiency and freeing up strategic capacity.
Jerry Hoberman, SAP Offering Leader at Deloitte, pointed out that while ERP transformation has long been on corporate agendas, orchestrating it effectively has been the missing piece. With Agentic ERP, he said, clients gain a practical route to scale AI safely, using model-agnostic intelligence and built-in governance to turn scattered pilots into measurable performance.
One detail that stands out is the “bring your own LLM” approach. Companies are not locked into a single large language model. Instead, the architecture standardises orchestration, security and policy enforcement, while allowing flexibility at the model level. Governance is reinforced through what UiPath calls its AI Trust Layer, designed to ensure controls and oversight are baked in from the start.
And believe it or not, this isn’t just about efficiency metrics. There’s a workforce angle too. The idea is that software agents and robots take care of high-volume execution, while employees step in for judgement calls and complex exceptions. The experience is described as persona-led, meaning the right tasks and recommendations appear within the tools staff already use. If it works as promised, that could be spot on for teams overwhelmed by system hopping.
The alliance also includes support for a Deloitte SAP AI & Innovation Centre in EMEA. This hub aims to accelerate the integration of AI and emerging technologies into SAP environments, with a focus on compliance and responsible adoption. Given how cautious many regional enterprises are about AI governance, that emphasis will likely matter.
From my years watching startups and scale-ups across the MENA region, I’ve seen how ERP projects can drag on for years and cost a fortune. Founders often tell me the clean-up after implementation is the real headache, not the go-live day. So I reckon any approach that connects automation, AI and governance in one blueprint will definately get attention, especially among larger Gulf enterprises pushing digital transformation agendas.
That said, big promises are common in the ERP world. The real test will be execution at scale, across messy legacy systems and strict regulatory environments. On the flip side, the partnership between a global automation player like UiPath and a consulting heavyweight like Deloitte gives this initiative solid footing.
For businesses in MENA looking to modernise core systems without losing control, Agentic ERP may well be another signal that AI is no longer just an add-on. It’s becoming woven into the fabric of enterprise operations, slowly, steadily… and perhaps this time, with orchestration at the centre rather than chaos.
