Innovative cooling systems and energy management tools will boost efficiency and uptime.

Khazna Data Centers is continuing to bolster its presence in the UAE, breaking ground on two brand-new, AI-focused centres in Abu Dhabi. The new facilities, named AUH4 in Mafraq and AUH8 in Masdar City, will join forces with QAJ1 currently underway in Ajman. Together, they're set to cater to the swiftly growing appetite for AI-driven technologies and digital infrastructure within the Emirates.

All three of these innovative data centres meet top green standards, aiming for the prestigious US Green Building Council’s LEED Gold certification, showing firm commitment to sustainability alongside technological progress. Designed specifically for intensive AI and cloud computing workloads, these centres will be instrumental in the UAE’s ambitious digital transformation drive.

Khazna CEO Hassan Alnaqbi remarked that the UAE’s accelerating shift towards increasingly AI-driven industries is creating an "unprecedented demand" for advanced infrastructure. Alnaqbi expressed pride in his firm's role in supporting this surge in digital growth.

Construction of facilities AUH4 and AUH8 is scheduled to wrap up in December and August 2026 respectively, and together they'll provide a substantial 60MW capacity to enhance cloud hosting availability across the region. Khazna is adopting a modular architectural approach to cut build times, minimise wastage and ensure smooth, efficient roll outs.

Besides being packed with cutting-edge tech, the new centres will also cleverly incorporate adiabatic cooling—basically a posh way of saying they'll use evaporative techniques to drastically boost cooling efficiency. This should lead to some seriously impressive Power Usage Effectivness (PUE) figures, helping to set an energy efficiency benchmark for the Gulf.

Meanwhile, over in Ajman, the structurally-complete QAJ1 facility is poised to become the region's very first fully AI-optimised data centre, offering up a whopping 100MW of capacity tailored for AI-heavy workloads. Set to go live in December 2026, the centre will rely on sophisticated liquid cooling and AI-driven energy management tools to get the absolute most out of its resources and ensure maximum uptime.

This ambitious trio of centres reflects the UAE's strategic push towards becoming a credible global player in the AI and digital technology game. Khazna Data Centers seems set to help the Emirates fully seize the opportunities these emerging technological frontiers present.

If you're anything like me—a bit lost after the third mention of megawatts—think of it as the digital version of adding more express lanes to your local motorway. Just like more lanes cut down traffic jams, these shiny new data centres should reduce digital congestion and boost speed and smoothness in online operations across the Emirates, something readers here on Arageek always appreciate.
