Saudi startup KLIQ has just landed a cool $2.25 million in seed funding, with Sanabil Venture Studio, part of Sanabil Investments, leading the round in partnership with Stryber. The cash injection aims to supercharge the company’s AI-powered influencer marketing platform — the first of its kind built entirely in the Kingdom — and strengthen that tricky bond between brands and content creators.

Now, influencer marketing in Saudi Arabia is booming, but anyone who’s tried running a campaign knows it can be a bit of a faff. Marketers juggle spreadsheets, emails, and performance reports, while creators often wait ages to get paid or miss out on brand deals that actually fit their audience. KLIQ reckons it can fix all that by building the technology under the hood, not just another shiny app on top.

Using AI to analyse audience data, campaign goals, and content context, the platform matches brands with relevant creators, automates contracts, and even tracks performance in real time. Think fewer guessing games, more precision. As Asma’a AlMaraghi, KLIQ’s co-founder and CEO, put it in a statement shared with the press, the goal is to make influencer marketing “authentic, measurable, and fair,” so that brands connect meaningfully while creators get the compensation they deserve.

I must say, that sounds spot on for what the region needs right now. From what I’ve seen at Arageek, MENA’s creator economy is full of bright sparks, but still lacks the solid infrastructure to keep things running smoothly. So, if KLIQ can really streamline collaboration — offering brands one dashboard for everything and giving creators better control and guaranteed payments — it could well fill a big gap.

The fresh funds will go into boosting KLIQ’s AI capabilities, expanding its onboarded brands and influencers, and adding clever new tools for campaign management and reporting. There’s also talk of deeper customisation, which should help creators align better with their niches. And let’s be honest, that’s music to the ears of busy marketers everywhere.

The company says its growth ties neatly into Saudi Vision 2030, supporting digital transformation and private-sector innovation. A homegrown tech setup that puts data, fairness, and trust at the centre of influencer marketing — that’s quite a statement from a young firm.

For now, brands and creators keen to try it can hop over to www.kliqapp.io and sign up. I reckon we’ll be hearing more about this one soon… it’s definately a space to watch.
