RemotePass Launches “Ask AI” to Transform HR Decision-Making in MENA

RemotePass has launched "Ask AI," a conversational tool for HR and finance leaders.
It securely accesses real-time company data to improve decision-making efficiency and productivity.
Ask AI simplifies complex queries, offering instant visualisations like charts and tables.
The tool aligns with UAE's Vision 2031 and Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 for digital business transformation.
Future updates may enable users to perform actions like onboarding new employees with simple commands.
There’s something exciting bubbling up in the HR tech space, and—if you’ve been following the hustle of startups like we do at Arageek—you’ll spot why it might be a bit of a game-changer for the MENA region. RemotePass, a company already known for making HR and payroll less of a faff for local and global teams, has introduced “Ask AI”—a conversational AI tool, designed to help C-suite execs, HR, and finance leaders make tough decisions on the fly. And, from what’s being said, it’s the first time anyone’s built a system that taps into real-time, sensitive company data in such a secure and interactive way.
The timing isn’t random. With the UAE’s Vision 2031 and Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 both calling for smarter, more digital ways to run businesses, the spotlight’s firmly on efficiency and productivity. Everyone’s racing to keep up—and I reckon that’s especially tough for HR and finance leaders juggling the numbers. In the past, getting the answer to a simple “what if…?” could take hours, or even longer. Either you’d wait for some hefty manual report to land in your inbox, or try your luck with a generic AI bot that, let’s be real, couldn’t handle the private stuff.
Now, Ask AI seems to cut through the noise. According to Kamal Reggad, RemotePass’s Co-founder and CEO, the whole idea is to give leaders agile tools to make decisions spot on, without the usual delays or data headaches. Picture this: you want to know what happens to payroll, taxes, and overall spending if you turn 20% of your MENA contractors into full-timers next quarter. Instead of wrestling with spreadsheets, you just ask. Instantly, the system can show you the numbers, with visualisations like charts or tidy tables. It’s almost like talking to a colleague who knows the books inside-out—though maybe without the coffee breaks.
Reggad emphasised that it’s about more than just convenience. With Middle East economies getting more competitive by the day, any company able to move faster has an edge. I’m personally not a fan of overhyped tech, but this approach—making complex data accessible in plain English—makes a lot of sense, especially when the usual solutions are a bit clunky. “We have gone beyond convenience, with a focus on empowering companies to manage people and resources with the speed that modern economies in the Middle East demand,” he pointed out.
One detail that jumped out at me is that Ask AI isn’t just for looking up stats. The next phase, according to RemotePass, will let users trigger actions—think onboarding a new employee or approving payroll—with just a single, direct command. If that rolls out smoothly, it could take a load off managers’ plates, freeing up time for things that actually need a human touch. Of course, new tech always brings teething problems (and a few sceptics), but the potential is there.
And believe it or not, it’s all happening from a MENA-based company first, not a big Silicon Valley outfit. That alone feels like a win for startups in our region, and it’s exactly the sort of bold move we love to see acting as a catalyst for bigger changes. Sometimes, watching ambitious ideas turn into real products right on our doorstep—well… it makes all those stories of slow, cumbersome HR processes feel positively old hat.
