Digico and AWS Partner to Propel Saudi Arabia’s AI and Cloud Transformation

Digico Solutions teams up with AWS to boost cloud and AI uptake in Saudi Arabia.
The partnership backs Vision 2030, focusing on “practical AI” and digital modernisation.
An AWS Region will support data residency and ease long-standing compliance headaches.
Efforts target fintech, e-commerce, logistics, manufacturing, plus media and entertainment.
If well executed, it could nudge Saudi Arabia’s digital ecosystem forward.
Digico Solutions has teamed up with Amazon Web Services in a move that aims to speed up cloud and artificial intelligence adoption across Saudi Arabia. The collaboration pulls together Digico’s on-the-ground understanding of the local market with AWS’s global cloud and AI toolkit, with both sides pointing to modernisation, scalability and long-term innovation as the end game.
At its core, the agreement is built around supporting Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 agenda. That means helping both public and private organisations upgrade their digital infrastructure, use AI in a practical way (not just as a buzzword), and improve how digital services are rolled out. From where I stand, after years of watching startups wrestle with legacy systems, this kind of partnership feels pretty spot on—especially in a market moving this fast.
A notable detail is the focus on data residency and compliance. With an AWS Region planned in the Kingdom, organisations will be able to keep sensitive data local while still tapping into advanced cloud services. For many founders and enterprise tech teams I’ve spoken to at Arageek meetups over the years, compliance has been a real headache. This could make life a lot easier and remove a bit of a faff from the whole cloud decision-making process.
Anas Khattar, CEO of Digico Solutions, said the collaboration strengthens the company’s ability to deliver “world-class cloud and AI solutions” tailored for the Saudi market, while still meeting local regulatory requirements and backing national digital goals. That said, partnerships are only as good as their execution, and I reckon the real test will be how quickly companies on the ground can move from strategy slides to actual deployment… you know?
Digico Solutions plans to concentrate its efforts on sectors where cloud and AI can have an immediate impact, including fintech, e-commerce, logistics, manufacturing, and media and entertainment. The idea is to combine cloud migration, AI enablement and digital skills development, supported by industry-specific accelerators rather than one-size-fits-all solutions. On the flip side, smaller players may wonder whether these programmes will be accessible or skewed towards larger enterprises—time will tell.
Still, for a region keen to position itself as a global digital hub, this collaboration ticks several boxes. It aligns local expertise with global infrastructure, keeps an eye on sovereign data requirements, and pushes practical AI adoption rather than hype. I’m not a fan of big announcements that go nowhere, but if this one delivers, it could definately give Saudi Arabia’s digital ecosystem another solid nudge forward.
