Previous investments included a $1,5 million pre-seed round in 2022 from Disruptech Ventures.

Egyptian healthcare tech company iSupply has landed a $3 million funding deal from investment platform Bokra, in an agreement structured around sharia-compliant financing.

The funding injection aims to support iSupply’s ambitions to broaden their pharmaceutical supply chain services throughout Egypt, especially crucial for regions that struggle to access decent healthcare services. The Cairo-based company leans heavily on cutting-edge artificial intelligence and predictive analytics to manage its supply operations efficiently—something increasingly relied upon to keep vital medicines flowing reliably to pharmacies and hospitals.

According to Bokra’s CEO, Ayman Al-Sawy, the financing arrangement is designed as a revenue-based investment. Rather than simply chasing quick profits, it targets companies active in the "real economy," offering investors tangible outcomes that positively impact real lives.

Ibrahim Emam, who co-founded iSupply and serves as its CEO, explained that this flexible funding model is especially appealing since it does not force founders to forfeit equity stakes. Instead, he highlighted, it allows them to remain focused on their core mission—improving access to medicines through data-driven digital solutions.

It’s also worth noting that this isn't iSupply’s first taste of external investment. Back in 2022, they secured a pre-seed funding round worth $1.5 million, led by the venture capital firm Disruptech Ventures.

With healthcare access continuing to pose challanges in wider Egypt, especially remote parts of the country, innovative companies like iSupply might just provide the necessary spark needed to improve lives. For readers of Arageek, interested particularly in Middle Eastern start-ups stepping up with tech-driven initiatives, this certainly seems like an exciting development worth keeping an eye on.
