Joramco appoints Adam Voss as new CEO, enhancing leadership amid rapid growth.
Voss previously served as COO and led TIM Aerospace in Dubai.
The company expands operational capacity with the newly opened Hangar 7.
Fraser Currie transitions to Chief Strategy & Commercial Officer at DAE Engineering.
Joramco maintains strong credentials backed by industry approvals from EASA and FAA.
Joramco, the well-known aircraft MRO provider based at Ammanās Queen Alia International Airport, is ringing in a fresh chapterāand not just with a new hangar. As part of its efforts to stay ahead in a rapidly growing aviation sector, the company is handing the reins to Adam Voss, who will step up as Chief Executive Officer from 14 September 2025. For anyone in the regional aviation or startup circles, this sort of leadership switch is more than a bit of a big deal.
Voss isnāt a newcomer to Joramco; heās served as COO before taking the helm at TIM Aerospace in Dubai. Now, heās coming āhomeā just as Joramco opens its much-touted Hangar 7, increasing its maintenance capacity to a whopping 22 linesāthe sort of number that would have made jaws drop a decade ago. āI am honoured to be taking on this new role at a time when Joramco has just added Hangar 7 which brings the MRO capacity up to 22 parallel lines, my focus will be on driving operational excellence,ā Voss reportedly stated. That said, itās never just about bricks and mortar in this sector. Keeping teams nimble and customers chuffed to bits is really where the challenge lies, if you ask me.
The baton-passing doesnāt stop there. Fraser Currie, whoās been CEO up to now, is shifting to a wider brief as Chief Strategy & Commercial Officer at DAE Engineering, the parent engineering arm of Dubai Aerospace Enterprise. Currie voiced his own excitement around working more closely with Jeff Wilkinson, CEO for DAE Engineering, and said it was time to build on what has already been achieved.
Wilkinson himself was quick to highlight the reason for the shake-upāa pretty relentless trajectory of growth, with even higher climbs expected ahead. He gave a tip of the hat to Currie for his āunwavering commitment and support,ā and added, āWith our strengthened leadership team, we are ready to take DAE Engineering and Joramco to new heights under our āCommitted to Excellenceā theme.ā Itās classic industry speak, but with Joramcoās credentials, you wouldnāt call it empty.
Looking at the big picture, Joramco isnāt exactly fresh out of the gate. Sixty years at the coal face has earned it a strong reputation with airlines from the Middle East and Europe through to South Asia and Africa. Take a wander near their six hangarsāspread across the Queen Alia airport free zoneāand you get a sense of the scale. It must be absolute organised chaos whenever a rush comes in, and I reckon not everyone would have the stomach for the pressure.
The companyās certifications mean business: with approvals from EASA, the FAA, and Jordanās Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission, the team has their paperwork spot on (well⦠most of the time, anyway). Covering the likes of Airbus, Boeing, and Embraer jets means thereās no resting on their laurels. As an organisation guided by Arageekās passion for propelling MENA startups, itās inspiring to see such steady evolutionāa reminder that a ālast-minute change of planā isnāt always a bad thing, especially if it involves experienced heads at the wheel.
Of course, if you fancy finding out a bit more, the usual socials and the Joramco website will give you the inside scoop. But as it stands, with Joramco welcoming Adam Voss and expanding faster than you can say āscheduled maintenance,ā itās safe to say theyāre buckling up for a busy journey aheadāan example for ambitious teams across the region, even if the industry is, at times, a bit of a faff.
