Khazna and Presight Partner to Launch AI-Driven Data Center Management

3 min
Khazna and Presight will deploy an AI-driven facility management system across sites.
A centralised ābrainā will monitor cooling, power and operations in real time.
The platform blends IoT, analytics and digital twins for efficiency and sustainability.
It supports Khazna NexOps and growing demand for hyperscale, AI-ready data centres.
Delivery will be complex, but could set a regional benchmark for intelligent infrastructure.
Khazna Data Centers has entered a long-term agreement with Presight to roll out an AI-driven facility management system across its operations, in a move that signals just how serious the region is becoming about intelligent infrastructure.
The deal centres on deploying an AI-optimised solution alongside a centralised command and control centre, effectively putting artificial intelligence at the heart of Khaznaās hyperscale data centres. In simple terms, the company wants one unified ābrainā that can see everything happening across its sites ā from cooling systems to power usage ā and make smarter decisions in real time.
Iāve always felt that data centres are a bit like airports: when they run smoothly, nobody notices. When something goes wrong, itās chaos. So shifting from reactive maintenance to predictive and even prescriptive action feels not just smart, but spot on. According to details shared publicly, the new system will pull together multiple operational and facilities platforms into a single intelligence layer. That means better fault detection, performance optimisation, and improved efficiency across energy-hungry infrastructure.
The partnership itself isnāt coming out of the blue. The two companies first announced their collaboration during GITEX Global 2025. This latest step builds on that momentum and supports the launch of Khazna NexOps, an in-house operations arm designed to standardise processes, governance, and service continuity for customers running mission-critical workloads. In the first phase, a centralised control centre will offer real-time visibility across Khaznaās entire portfolio.
Khaznaās CEO Hassan Alnaqbi said the initiative strengthens the firmās ability to manage complex infrastructure with greater visibility, efficiency and resilience ā especially as the company continues its international expansion. From Presightās side, CEO Thomas Pramotedham highlighted that the project shows how advanced AI can be translated into scalable platforms that improve both operational performance and sustainability in increasingly complex digital environments.
At the technical core is Presightās AI-Optimized Sustainable Data Centre solution. It blends IoT sensors, advanced analytics, automation and AI to monitor assets, manage capacity and handle incidents in real time. Thereās also a digital twin element, delivered through Presightās Meta-Intelligence platform, allowing teams to simulate scenarios, analyse spatial assets and plan operations more effectively. On top of that, the system supports energy optimisation, carbon tracking, ESG reporting and performance benchmarking across different sites.
That said, the bigger picture here is hard to ignore. Demand for hyperscale and AI-ready data centres is climbing fast, both globally and across the UAE. And believe it or not, facility management ā which sounds mundane, well⦠I mean, even a bit of a faff ā is becoming one of the real battlegrounds for innovation.
For founders and operators we often speak about at Arageek, this is a reminder that AI isnāt only about flashy consumer apps or chatbots. Sometimes itās about the unseen layers powering everything else. I reckon investments like this may not grab headlines in the same way as a funding round, but they are definatley shaping the backbone of the digital economy in the region.
On the flip side, successful execution will be the true test. Integrating multiple legacy systems into a single AI-driven layer is no small feat. But if it works as planned, Khazna and Presight could set a benchmark for how data centre operations are managed in the age of intelligent infrastructure ā and thatās something the wider MENA ecosystem will be watching closely.
