Egypt's North Coast expects significant growth, aligning with government tourism goals for 2028.
Mountain Viewāwell known in Egypt for its real estate developmentsāis taking a fresh step into the world of tourism and hospitality, having launched a dedicated hospitality arm called Mountain View Hospitality. The move marks a bold attempt to go beyond bricks and mortar, planting the company squarely into the heart of one of Egyptās fastest-growing sectors.
The big reveal came with the opening of KIN Hotel, Mountain Viewās debut in hospitality, tucked away on the North Coast. Itās not your standard beachside getaway, eitherāthe hotel aims for whatās being called a āChillax Family Hotelā vibe, blending chilled-out relaxation with a real focus on families and a sense of community. Personally, I reckon itās a clever shift; a lot of hotels talk about family-friendliness, but rarely put their money where their mouth is. KIN looks set to walk that talk.
Eng. Amr Soliman, who heads up Mountain View, made it clear that this isnāt just about adding another feather to their cap. āWe are not merely founding a new company; we are investing in a powerhouse sector valued at over USD 20 billion in 2025, with projections to exceed USD 28 billion by 2030, at an annual growth rate surpassing 7%.ā Thatās a pretty staggering sum, and suggests Mountain View arenāt mucking about. Soliman also pointed out that this expansion helps create jobs and could attract foreign investmentāsomething Egyptās been chasing as it hustles to get itself on the global tourism map. (Having seen some friends struggle to find steady work in the region, this bit hits home for me.)
Eng. Ahmed Morsi, CEO at Mountain View Hospitality, chimed in with some thoughts on the inspiration for KIN, explaining that the name is all about kinship, family, and a sense of belonging. The hotelās being pitched as the first major family-centric spot on the North Coast, combining comfort, tranquility, and a communal atmosphere in one neat package. As Morsi put it, KIN is only the starting point for what he described as an āambitious expansion planāāsetting new benchmarks for hospitality in Egypt and, perhaps, beyond.
The KIN Hotel itself stands on five āpillarsāāslightly grand language, but the ideas are solid. The hotel wants to deliver not just family services but also spaces designed for proper rest, community ties, and that holiday magic unique to the Mediterranean, all while maintaining top-notch quality, operational standards, and sustainability. Whether they can pull all of that off remains to be seen, but Iām not a fan of hot air; so, Iām watching for real action over headline promises.
Zooming out for a minute: Egyptās North Coast is booming harder than everāleading the pack in hotel expansions, supposedly growing at nearly 13% by 2030. The governmentās shooting for 30 million tourists by 2028 (no small ambition!) and is busy with airport upgrades and more hotel rooms to keep up. Itās no wonder Mountain View fancies its chances.
All in all, the launch of Mountain View Hospitality isnāt just another press releaseāitās a clear signal that big developers in Egypt see the future as more than just property sales. Theyāre investing in experiences, in happiness (to swipe a phrase from their mission statement), and in the kinds of spaces that can lift the regionās game. As somebody at Arageek who gets a proper kick out of seeing new ideas come aliveāespecially ones that could fuel jobs and fresh opportunitiesāIām spot on in thinking that this might set a trend for other startups to have a go in the hospitality arena, even if thereās always a bit of a faff getting new ventures off the ground.
Letās see if KIN can become a destination where families can truly āchillaxā and actually connect, not just pass by. If Mountain View can manage that, they might just prove the doubters wrong⦠or at least give them something to talk about over tea.
