NMK Electronics adds MAGO to boost its connected workplace offering.

It targets hybrid offices needing “agnostic, flexible and effortless” meeting tools.

The partnership supports full ecosystems, not just isolated devices.

MAGO enables seamless sharing, whiteboarding and cross-platform interoperability.

NMK plans demos and deployments to modernise regional collaboration spaces.

NMK Electronics is sharpening its focus on the connected workplace, this time by bringing collaboration software platform MAGO into its regional unified communications portfolio. The Dubai-headquartered distributor, part of the Midwich Group, is clearly betting that the future of meeting rooms in the Middle East will be defined as much by software as by screens and speakers.

Across the region, companies are rethinking how their workspaces function. Hybrid routines, flexible schedules, multiple offices, it can all become a bit of a faff when the tech does not cooperate. NMK sees MAGO as an answer to that frustration. The platform is built to simplify how teams share content, present ideas, manage meeting rooms and collaborate without juggling a patchwork of disconnected tools.

Suhed Mohammed, Business Unit Head, UC at NMK Electronics, described the timing as crucial. In his view, organisations want solutions that are “agnostic, flexible and effortless”, and he believes MAGO ticks those boxes. He also noted that integrating MAGO with Neat hardware adds another layer of flexibility without compromising on quality, broadening what NMK can offer customers looking for simpler and more consistent meeting experiences.

That shift towards joined-up solutions is not just a passing trend. Consultants and system integrators across the GCC are increasingly being asked for full ecosystems rather than isolated devices. I have seen this change over the years while speaking with founders building workplace tech in the region, everyone talks about “experience” now, not just equipment. And honestly, it makes sense. No one wants a flashy meeting room that only the IT team knows how to operate, you know?

MAGO’s pitch lies in balancing simplicity with depth. On the surface, it offers intuitive content sharing, digital whiteboarding, room control and workflow integration. Underneath, it is designed to support Bring-Your-Own-Meeting setups and cross-platform interoperability. Cristiano Fumagalli, Co-Founder and VP of MAGO, said the partnership aligns with the company’s mission to enable organisations to communicate more clearly and work more efficiently. He pointed out that today’s collaboration demands seamless integration across devices, platforms and rooms, and MAGO was built with exactly that in mind.

On the flip side, software-led collaboration still requires careful deployment. Integrators must ensure compatibility with existing systems, and end users need clear onboarding to avoid confusion. But if done properly, it can be spot on. NMK appears ready to invest in that groundwork, with plans over the next year to focus on demonstrations, awareness campaigns, education and live deployments across the region.

And believe it or not, this is where I reckon the real opportunity lies. The Middle East has no shortage of impressive office towers and high-end boardrooms. What sometimes lags is the invisible layer, the software that makes everything flow smoothly. If NMK and MAGO can deliver a consistent, intuitive experience across different room types and office locations, they could definately strengthen their position in a competitive UC market.

Founded with a strong footprint in Dubai, Sharjah, Riyadh and Doha, NMK Electronics has long been active in large-scale AV projects across the GCC. Adding MAGO to its portfolio signals a continued push towards integrated, future-facing collaboration environments. For businesses navigating hybrid work and business continuity challenges, that may be a timely move, and perhaps a necessary one as well… I mean, the way we work has already changed. The tools have to catch up.
