PwC Middle East and Strategy& have teamed up with the AI platform UnifyApps in a move that’s meant to speed up how governments and large organisations across Qatar and the wider GCC shift from small AI experiments to proper, scalable systems. I’ve seen plenty of AI pilot projects around the region that look promising at first, only to stall because no one knows how to roll them out without causing a bit of a faff… so this collaboration feels quite spot on for where things are heading.

The agreement blends PwC and Strategy&’s sector know‑how with UnifyApps’ so‑called agentic AI platform, which is built to help organisations connect their existing systems, activate their data and weave AI into everyday workflows. All of this is aligned with ongoing digital transformation and economic diversification plans in Qatar and neighbouring countries, where becoming “AI‑native” is no longer just a buzzword. At Arageek, we’ve often heard from founders who tell us that making AI actually work inside big institutions is half the battle.

Hani Zein, a partner at Strategy& Middle East, highlighted how AI has become a core element of competitiveness. In his words, the priority now is to focus on solutions that genuinely improve operations. Through this partnership, he said, organisations will be able to embed secure and scalable AI systems that respect national transformation priorities. On the flip side, leaders still need to resist the temptation of jumping on every shiny tool they see — I reckon a bit more discipline will save a lot of headaches.

From UnifyApps’ side, CRO Haitham Elkhatib described the partnership as a chance to bring their platform to organisations in a practical way, giving teams tools that are intuitive and secure enough to keep pace with today’s tech demands. And believe it or not, that’s exactly the stumbling block many enterprises face: they want AI, but not the chaos that can come with it.

Under the collaboration, PwC and Strategy& will map out AI use cases, governance models and innovation roadmaps, backed by their regulatory insight. UnifyApps will then plug in its platform, offering thousands of pre‑built integrations and low‑code tools to deliver AI solutions tailored to regional needs. It’s meant to be an end‑to‑end approach that not only strengthens PwC and Strategy&’s AI transformation offering but also expands UnifyApps’ regional footprint.

The initiative aims to help organisations embed intelligence into critical workflows, build long‑term AI skills and, importantly, turn those stalled pilots into real products. It also supports broader innovation goals across the GCC by sharing sector‑specific frameworks and promoting responsible adoption — something many startups in the region keep pushing for.

UnifyApps recently showcased its platform at MWC Doha, demonstrating how no‑code design tools and AI‑driven workflows can speed up product development. Those demos gave a tangible feel of how AI systems could fit into national modernisation plans, even if some leaders still feel a bit unsure about where to start.

UnifyApps itself was founded in 2023 and is backed by WestBridge Capital, ICONIQ and Elevation Capital. PwC Middle East, with its long regional presence, continues to work across 12 countries to guide organisations through complex transformation efforts. All together, the partnership looks like one of those collaborations that could, if executed properly, push AI adoption across the GCC from idea to reality — or at least get it moving in the right direction, definately.
