TachyHealth secured Series A funding, with Tawuniya leading the investment round.

Propeller Fund II achieved its first exit, marking a significant milestone for investors.

TachyHealth's leadership was praised for their focus and perseverance over five years.

Manaf Asfour's vision was highlighted as crucial to Propeller's continued involvement.

This achievement underscores the importance of supporting MENA startups early on.

TachyHealth has just closed its Series A round, with Tawuniya stepping in to lead the investment — a move that many in the ecosystem see as a solid vote of confidence in the healthtech company’s direction. The team has been steadily building its platform into something large institutions are willing to rely on, and this latest milestone feels like yet another sign that they’re hitting the mark. I remember chatting with a founder at a MENA meetup once who said that watching a startup grow from scrappy beginnings to institutional trust is “a bit like seeing your kid ride a bike without training wheels.” Spot on, really.

Propeller Fund II, one of TachyHealth’s early backers, also marked its first exit through a secondary transaction tied to this round. It’s the kind of natural milestone investors quietly hope for, even if the journey there is rarely straightforward. That said, the team at Propeller didn’t hide their pride, noting that Fund II now celebrates its first official exit — and the fourth across the wider firm.

The investment was originally led by one of Propeller’s partners, who stayed plugged in from day one all the way to the exit. They gave credit to TachyHealth’s leadership — including Dr Osama AbouElkhir, Amr Fawzy and Mohammad Khadra — praising their focus and grit over the past five years. And believe it or not, that kind of long-term founder–investor relationship is still a bit of a faff for many early-stage teams to maintain. I reckon TachyHealth handled it better than most.

Propeller also highlighted the role of Manaf Asfour, describing his vision and conviction as central to the firm’s involvement. On the flip side, they emphasised they’re not stepping away entirely; the belief in TachyHealth’s mission, they said, remains strong as the company moves into its next chapter.

From where we sit at Arageek, always cheering on MENA founders trying to push through the noise, it’s the kind of moment that reminds you why early-stage work matters — partnering with exceptional teams, staying close, and helping unlock the outcomes that once felt a bit out of reach. And yes, I’m chuffed to bits to see another regional startup hitting an important milestone, even if the path ahead is, well… still unfolding.
