Thriwe has launched Thriwe Aina, an AI concierge, redefining customer loyalty in the UAE.

Aina integrates with systems, automates tasks, and offers 24/7 personalised customer support.

The service aims to transform loyalty from transactional to emotional in competitive markets.

Thriwe plans global expansion, starting from the UAE, using AI as a key growth strategy.

There's potential for success, though some customers might prefer human interaction over AI.

Thriwe, the global loyalty and rewards platform, has just planted deeper roots in the UAE with the unveiling of its newest creation: Thriwe Aina, an AI-powered concierge that sets out to redefine customer loyalty. The move is pitched as more than just handing out perks – it’s about turning everyday transactions into lifestyle-driven experiences. And choosing Dubai as the launch pad? Well, that doesn’t come as a surprise. The UAE has been positioning itself as a frontrunner in AI adoption, with forecasts tipping it to sit just behind China and the US in terms of economic contribution from artificial intelligence.

At the announcement, Thriwe’s founder and CEO Dhruv Verma spoke of companies’ growing need for loyalty solutions that go beyond the old-fashioned “collect points, redeem later” model. Businesses, he said, are crying out for concierge services that are faster, leaner and more affordable – and Aina was born as an answer to that call. His view is that Aina can turn routine interactions into loyalty-building moments, raising the stakes for customer experience in a digital-first era.

Here’s the gist of what Aina does: for businesses, it integrates smoothly with existing systems, automates repetitive queries, cuts down operational faff, and – crucially – learns from previous behaviour to tailor smarter suggestions. For end users, it’s like having a reliable mate on call 24/7, able to anticipate what they might want, sort out benefits without fuss, and chat in multiple languages so no one feels left out.

Now, I’ve seen plenty of loyalty tech over the years through Arageek’s lens on the startup scene, and honestly, most of it is much of a muchness. But I reckon this one has more bite. Thriwe isn’t just tinkering on the edges – it’s trying to shift loyalty from transactional to emotional. And believe it or not, that can make a huge difference in crowded markets where brands struggle to stand out. That said, tech like this is only as strong as the data it’s fed, so there’s always the risk of overpromising.

What also stands out is the choice of timing. Thriwe is already juggling offices across India, Singapore, the UK, Florida and Dubai, but the company is leaning heavily on the UAE as its springboard for global expansion in 2025. They’re betting on AI and machine learning as the cornerstones of their evolution from a service-heavy provider into a technology-first company. If all goes according to plan, by the final quarter of next year we’ll see more partnerships, tailored offers and hyper-personalised tools rolling off their pipeline.

On the flip side, there’s still the question of whether customers actually *want* AI fronting their loyalty experiences. Some people may feel chuffed to bits chatting with an intelligent concierge, while others might miss the human touch. Personally, I’m not a fan of replacing all face-to-face elements, but in a region where speed and scale matter, the convenience is spot on.

So, Thriwe Aina is here: intelligent, seamless, inclusive – at least on paper. Whether it delivers the goods beyond the shiny demo video is something we’ll see in due course. For now, the UAE gets first dibs, and I can’t help thinking it’s a strategic choice that could set the stage for how startups across MENA – and beyond – build loyalty in an era where experience often trumps reward. It’s definately one to watch.
